True, Barack Obama has not done much yet, and can not do much yet.
One has to agree with a number of the above escapees from Newsmax.
I do object, however, to those who tsk-tsk about anyone who does not honor Our President of the Last Eight Years, who does not want to be gracious to this shrewd incompetent! With his merry band of robber barons, George W. Bush, has ruined America in the eyes of the World, violated the Constitution in truly unspeakable ways, and the damage he has done to us will plague us, not for the next 50-odd days, but for several decades to come.

The finest painter of all time couldn't produce a better image of This Nation's Two Presidents than this morning's two occurrences, Obama's press conference on the economic future of an entire country, followed mere moments later by Bush's press conference on the edible future of two turkeys named Pumpkin and Pecan.

Uh, excuse me, Congress has been controlled by Democrats during the stock market crash. Bush was done over two years ago when democrats got the power in Congress. He was a lame duck over two years ago. Democrats got accomplished what they wanted, a decline in the economy ensuring their candidate would win, at the expense of peoples jobs and pensions. Now they can step in and take care of you demwits. Now you're setting it up for Bush to take the blame for years to come.
How about naming one thing the democratic Congress has done in the last two years to help the economy, other than to intentionally put us where we are.
If I thought it wasn't the case, all I have to do is read more of this garbage bashing Bush and then I get it. Journalism is dead and buried. The MSM elected a president that in my opinion is reminiscent of the election of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. The mere fact that you are trying to elude that he take over as prez before inauguration is an abomination to our constitution and shows immense journalism bias. Also, the MSM is doing it's best to keep the Berg lawsuit in the closet... If indeed there is a cover up there, not only is journalism dead, but so is our constitution...
I hope you "so called" journalists are happy to what you've done to our country.

If I recall correctly, the 110th Congress was sworn in Jan 2007, so they'd been sitting for about a year and a half and in session for even less before the market crashed.
And Bush was(is) still president, meaning whatever the Dems negotiated and passed without Republican stonewalling or filibuster had to be signed by him.
How likely did you think that was, in a year?

Of course they are as they've NEVER seen a real president, that is one who speaks, acts, and thinks like the LEADER of the free world. Why do you think the entire planet rejoiced when it was announced Barack would be our 44th president? Can you imagine where we'd be if Bush had two years or so left? I don't even want to think about that nightmare. "lets cut taxes lets cut taxes lets cut taxes" Sorry GOP but cutting taxes is not the answer to everything. Unless, of course, you're wealthy.

Bill. Read what you are writing. You're willing to insult a perfect stranger for the article they MIGHT have written in a different world with a more competent President.
When it comes down to it, both of you are implying that the President is right to do nothing and to be absent from the American people in their hour of need. Is this what you actually mean.
Do you remember that Bush vanished for six hours after the 9/11 attacks and it was left to the odious Giuliani to address a terrified nation? Do you remember how Bush also failed to act in the *five days* before Katrina when all the news media were screaming about the risk?
He's never been willing to act before, why should he start now?!
