And who's that other guy in the White House? As George Bush continues his vanishing act, Barack Obama steps into the spotlight, two months early, to calm a jittery nation.

The presidency gap forces funny politics. It seems more to hurt Obama more than help him.

It's too bad the haters and deniers seem to have so much time to give responses on these threads. Of course Obama is not President yet but the article is about wishing it was so and how Bush has allowed a vacuum of power. Yes Obama is American and those who say otherwise probably believe other conspiracy theories. Damn! but freedom of speech can be such a pain with morons like those mucking about.

There is such a fishbowl on the presidency gap and so much time until inaugeration. I think Obama needs to find ways to frame his situation, and saying "I'm not President yet" is the smartest - it puts blame on problems where they firmly belong. He needs to push this harder now that Repub talking points attempt to accuse Obama for all the problems. Another worry is how the left wing has already split ranks and are criticizing Obama. Sheesh, let the guy have 6 months in office before blame is laid.
