To Greywolf1014,
There are differences between citizenship given by Statute and that given by the Constitution.
The Constitution speaks of ‘natural born citizen’ and what you quoted from the State Department does speak of ‘acquired citizenship’. The Courts might find a big difference there.
And if Obama was born in Kenya that would be another item to add to the list of questionable attitudes that he has had. He should have disclosed that to the American people a long time ago.
Common sense tells me that ‘natural born citizen’ means that the person that is a ‘natural born citizen’ does not have a choice to be the citizen of any other country because of his birthplace and/or his parents.
Obviously, whether Obama was born in Hawaii or Kenya, he had the choice of becoming the citizen of England, and then of Kenya, because of his father.
And there is the issue of his traveling to Pakistan. It is claimed that he traveled with an Indonesian passport and if so, then he relinquished his American citizenship.
All this could be clarified if Obama releases his ‘vault birth certificate’ and his previous passports whether American or not.
Is that too much to ask? I do not think so!
