Barack Obama, honeymoon killer?

The Clintonites in his Cabinet, forgiveness for Lieberman, the creeping signs of centrism -- progressives aren't ready to panic, yet.

A massive crisis, and we get ... business-as-usual.

What is absolutely consistent in the Democratic party and the gullibility of the voting cattle who love it, is the firm corporate slant this party has attained. The only solution is to keep as much pressure on Obama as possible.

Right now, with the possible exception of Holder, they are all business-as-usual people. I am stunned by how many letters basically say we just need 'intelligent' and 'competent' people. Hiring the best technocrat available, a so-called 'objective' judgment, still does not say anything about their politics. The letter writers want to disappear politics, actually. But, of course, every technocrat has his politics. A pathetic response.

    Obama Cabinet - Staff

    1. Rahm Emmanuel - Managed fight for NAFTA, Likudnik, Goldman Sachs, FM/FM - Clintonista

    2. Robert Gibbs - Press Secretary, no prior ties

    3. John Podesta - Head of Transition Team (Clinton chief of staff)

    4. Sam Nunn & Warren Christopher - State/Defense Transition and Madeleine Albright, Economic Envoy to G20, all former Clintonistas.

    5. Eric Holder - Attorney General - Deputy Atty General, Clinton administration

    6. Tom Daschle - Health & Human Services - long term senator. Lobbyist for health-care companies at his law firm.

    7. Hillary Clinton - Sec of State - Clinton's wife

    8. Dana Pelligrino - Dept of Homeland Security, recommended sending national guard troops to border.

    9. Bill Richardson - Formerly a Clinton Supporter, Commerce Secretary

    10. Joe Liberman - Kept as head of key Senate Committee

    11. Tim Geithner - Treasury Department, former Summers protege/Clinton period.

Clinton ignored the labor movement, the environment and the economy, all the while smiling in our faces. I do not welcome a repeat of the past.
