Two suggestions:
1) Loosen the tinfoil hat. It's obviously cutting bloodflow to your brain
2) Don't let the (figurative) door smack your whiny ass on the way out of Salon.
Oh yesyesyes, please retreat to the dark nether corner of the playground and continue to mutter to yourself and pull apart insects.
Oh and try not to blow yourself up with your homemade bomb like that fool from the weather underground.
You forgot to mention that your guys are the reason the economy collapsed. That love for deregulation and socialist buyouts when the market falls on them.
Also, please go away. You lost. You lost HUGE!
I saw a preview of the New New RNC last night on Fox in a short interview with Congressman Ryan after they called it.
"We need to get back to our roots..." "Smaller government...", "We can't be afraid to stand up for our principles...", "Smaller government..."
When the Republicans are in power it's all you can eat pork, big government spending, and unlimited deficit spending.
But as soon as they get kicked out of power, suddenly they rediscover "fiscal conservatism". The new strategy of the Republican party is going to be about small government, reduced spending, and balancing the budget.
It's how Newt did it in the 80's and it's the only card they have left to play. For the past three decades, Democrats have been the real fiscal conservatives. We need to be sure that we don't let Republicans steal the mantle by fixing the country's problems and reducing the size of the government (as Clinton did) at the same time.

Andrew has to watch Fox News in order to do his job. I have to admit, I watched them for the first time in years, rather than the outstanding crew on MSNBC. The expression on Brit Hume's face was priceless.
Watching FOX report the election returns was sheer joy for me after these long 8 years. My favorite moment was when Fred Barnes said that those citizens who took advantage of early voting were "lazy" because they did not want to wait in long lines on election day.
Me, I was one of those lazy voters who cast my ballot for Obama at 0905 on the first day of early voting here in Illinois. It is the best thing ever.
I am so proud of the millions of voters who refused to be cowed by the Republican scare tactics and who ushered in this new era in American politics. My poor Limbaugh-addled brother was insisting there would be riots in the streets if Obama wasn't elected and he now seriously fears a Marxist state. What a shame to be so fearful of the future (as if things could get much worse) when we Obama supporters have nothing but joy and hope in our hearts. Fox "News" - we are not listening to you.
I've been a union member many times. The reason the American people are 'prostrate' economically is because they have no organized clout. And that is because the unions have been undermined by both parties and the courts. Business is highly organized, has the main stream media on their side, and has very good friends in the government. Regan's firing of the whole air traffic controllers union was just the 'kill' signal to the business world.
Card check is needed because those so-called 'elections' that the government 'supervises' are a fraud. Organizers get fired, sympathizers get fired or deported or intimidated, money and threats suddenly appear - it is a 'stacked' election. The government never prosecutes business misbehavior, because, as in nearly every other agency, the government represents business, not the workers. Polls indicate the majority of workers could join unions if they could.
The laws are written by the ruling powers, and the rule against card check elections was passed in the 60s. Just like "In God We Trust" was put on the money in the 50s. It is no coincidence that union membership started declining after that. And the average standard of living of the working class started declining parallel to that development.
An Obama supporter arguing against a rule to make unions easier to organize again? What a joke! Why don't you join the Republicans? They hate unions too.
I was waiting all night for the mass hari-kari to commence.
Instead, we were treated to a bunch of tomfoolery. Karl Rove brought in a batch of his special Fox News cookies, Fred Barnes kept blabbering on about card-check, Irving's son spun himself dizzy over Palin's popularity (or lack thereof) with the electorate-at-large.
Then there was Juan Williams. FNC very own token, choking back emotion. After all these years, I don't know what to make of it. I would have been more apt to buy it if he would have rhetorically b!!c#-slapped Irving's son a little more over Palin, or answered Fred's ramblings on card-check with a "what the f*ck are you talking about!"
Most likely, Juan will remember his place on Fixed News and quickly revert to Colmes-like semi-silent desperation, with any wounded pride salved by the abundant zeroes at the end of his semi-monthly FNC deposit advice.
Rupert Murdoch?

The Republican hard core remains scary. This morning a local Atlanta radio station aired three sound bites from those attending Republican Senator Chambliss' "victory" party last night. Asked about Obama's victory, two different people stated that the election was "worse than 9/11 for this country." These two people are nuts. But the third said "this is the end of the United State as we know it." In large measure, we can only hope he is right.
The thing I found most telling about the coverage on Faux was the huge number of graphics they seemd to love but in those graphics were election resluts that went all the way back to the Reagan administration. It's as if they were trying to convinve us that they were at one time relevant. All the commentators seemed as if they were attending a wake. Now that I think about it, they were
