It's a joke.
Karl Rove is human being.
Woke up this morning 4 AM (in Europe) to watch the results on CNN International, and found myself actually wishing I could watch the fine folks at Fox swallow this pill. As the kid on the Simpson's says, "Ha, Ha!"
...but I was too busy celebrating. ;)
on Rove being a human being.
my words to Rove and all the republicans
GO. FUCK. YOUR. SELF.
Where's the trolls? hey you fucking cowards - come out, come out whereever you are.
But I'm not here to kick sand in the face of the Fox News Channel.
Why not? I am.
As for Rove, he noted that Obama "appealed to the better angels of our nature." I swear, despite the quote having come from Lincoln, I still take credit for having revived it lo these many years later.
For the past 8 years I have had MY patriotism questioned by these chicken hawk motherfrakers.
My father, my uncle, my sister, my brother, my first husband, my second husband, and I ALL served this country in the armed forces. My brother is in Saudi Arabia on his second rotation.
We were/are all Democrats. My dad was a Democratic party official and candidate in PA during the early '70's. He was what you might call a community organizer. And he went out of his way to help Vietnam vets find housing, jobs, and a voice in the system. Imagine....
We have served, and continue to serve our country proudly and well.
McCain, Palin, Bush, Cheney, Rove, and their supporters worked so hard to redefine my family as somehow unAmerican because we have some different visions about our country. Well, screw all of them. They don't deserve any more of our attention. Just shut up. You all belong on the dung heap of history.
It was truly wonderous to watch Obama help bring back what is so great about this country. And truly sad to realize how far down we have gone.
It's time to let the real grown-ups run things....Yes, we can!
What are you talking about? Fox has always had folks in the tank for Obama-look at Shep Smith, almost as full of saliva for the O as Chrissy Matthews.
Look, you at Salon just have to learn to accept the fact that there are opposing views. Grow up!
and Fox News will have to be too, one way or another. They'll find their critical soul again and start attacking Obama's moves from day one, I'm sure. (Of course, depending on how strongly Obama reaches out for the right wing, even the MSM may end up criticizing him...)
The people hath spoken. Now we wait and see. Any guesses what you all will be saying at Salon.com four years from now? :-)
You missed Hume's comments after Obama's victory speech, which has to rank up there with the "nothing to fear, but fear itself" and "ask not what you can do for your country" moments for setting America on the right path. He actually watched that speech and then commented that Barack was good at stage-craft or something in that vein.
I don't believe anyone who really loves America could watch that speech and not feel anything but pride for our choice for the next President. I seriously question whether Hume is a "real" American.
Utterly brilliant, you are. And I say that "seriously."
I watched BBC World for six hours last night and you should have seen Ambassador John R Bolton, he was arrogant, obnoxious and plain insulting to anyone who may have differed from his opinion.
Bolton shouted over an interviewer was having with a BBC Interviewer with a Republican Chairman who she was asking why they had lost the States after winning the last 9 out of 10 Presidential Elections, he accused of her of not knowing the facts, then when they returned to the BBC Washington Studio he asked for her to be sacked! - He then went on to have a rant about the BBC not covering the correct coverage to Iraq in the last 3 months was part of the reason for the defeat?
This has typified the attitude of so many extreme republicans and those of the media who lean that way! - in debates and blogs they have carried out a campaign of being offensive and not being willing or able to listen to any other Opinion! - In the end Senator John McCain was most generous and showed respect to PRESDIENT ELECT BARACK OBAMA, not though some of his so called supporters, were these some of the extreme who pushed John McCain into not being the true McCain like last night and also who got far too excited about Palin, who the voters on Main Street clearly did not like in the end.
CHANGE HAS COME! it is up to the Republicans to shed blood and have their own inquests!
Convince President Obama and whatever Congress is elected to end media (and all corporate) monopolies. That was what skewed news content to the right-winged and the monied.
Return broadcast station ownership to the 1970 limits. Limit the number of cable networks one entity can own. While you're at it, break up megacorporate entities that own both broadcasting and content production like Disney, Fox, Viacom and GE.
Forget slitting Karl Rove's throat and the other graphic details that obviously drunken schmoe recorded here. Give communications media back to the public, who really owns it.
(Come to think of it, the throat-slitting-and-whatever should be reserved for Elephantman, that Republican troll who's filled Salon with right-wing talking points, who will start doing so once again, sniping at Obama, blacks and other people he hates, just as soon as he recovers.)
I cannot fathom how Karl Rove can keep himself gainfully employed. Isn't he the "Boy Genius" that masterminded the "next 100 years of Republican rule"? If W drove this bus to the cliff, isn't Rove the one who gave him the keys? That Republicans still listen to him gives me comfort in knowing that perhaps we can secure 100 years of Democratic rule.
The Wasilla soap opera just gets weirder as Palin complains critics are "picking apart a good point guard"
The media outlet's use of Bush euphemisms sparks a much-needed debate on journalistic standards.
And so are his Fox News pals, who lambasted Sen. Al Franken's "stolen election"
An inflexible right wing is allowing the Golden State to drown in debt. But it's not alone
Thanks for sharing, Governor. Now please take a cue from Norm Coleman, and go away
