Obama says thanks for the godawful mess you've handed me

I've thought for a while that the Republicans' heart wasn't really in it this time. I think even they have realized what an absolute disaster their rule has been and how they are completely unable to do anything about it. How did McCain even get the nod? Even more so, how did Palin get selected? It's almost as if they wanted to lose. They hand the Democrats an ungodly mess and are able to stand on the sidelines doing what they do best, which is snipe, attack, destroy, and second guess every attempt to do something about it. Even so, I'm glad the Democrats won. Obama's a thinking man who is not afraid to try something new and he's not really beholden to any ideological strait-jacket. Good luck, Barack, you will need it.
