    the new split

It's no longer red vs. blue or liberal vs. conservative or black vs. white, it's intelligent and educated vs. ignorant and superstitious. look at the states that voted for McCain. Do any of them have more than one university? Would you want your children growing up in any of them? The all too true statement that Obama said in Pennsylvania and was castigated endlessly for "clinging to their guns and religion") could be applied to half the country- but not the half that produces Rhodes scholars or the technology or the culture that is the envy of the rest of the world. These were the people that let fear and hate almost give up their nation to the neo-nazis in hopes of getting some crumbs falling of the table of greed.
