    The simple fact

The simple fact is that we can't let up. The Republicans are down but not out. They will do everything they can to make a comeback. We've got to remind people of history, because nearly half the country has no memory and the attention span of a gnat.

Our country has faced numerous hard economic times before -- depressions, recessions and bank failures. Those past events read a whole like the mess we're in right now -- out of control debt and government spending, no market regulation -- and each time has been preceded by decades of Republican rule. Decades of Republicans slowly running our country and economy into the ground. Decades of dividing the nation when we needed unity.

We can't sit back and be complacent. The fight has to continue. Republican-centered evil and avarice will not die quietly or easily. I expect some bitter times and hard fights ahead. Too many people are caught up in their own ignorance and opinions to recognize or accept prosperity and good governance.
