How about some positive articles on Obama or Biden? Give us something to vote FOR instead of all this gossip magazine crap all this time.

Either Gov. Sarah Palin is a small-minded, self-absorbed, ambitious climber -- or Alaska politics is a narrow world where making enemies haunts you if you're elevated to the national stage. Maybe it's a bit of both.
Has anyone ever read a critical article where Sen. Barack Obama is accused of being petty, mean and nakedly power-hungry?

The typical reader of your article was convinced several weeks ago that Palin is toxic waste. We're not voting for her, no way, no how. The rest of your readers are trolls, either paid to sound like a moron or are actual morons.
Its the economy, stupid. My guess is that Palin is not that good at 'rithmatic, much less complex derivatives.

...Sometimes we post here just in case God might give us credit. Most of us realize that mostly only "the choir" reads our posts.
We probably will not change any ding-dong's mind. But, conceivably, far in the future, some historian may quote us, to help prove that all Americans were not simple-minded murderous creeps, back in the first decade of the twenty-first century CE. That is one reason to watch your spelling, grammar, and punctuation here in Salon.
We are on a sled to disaster, my fellow Americans. Please do not just jump on for the ride. At least, please go on record as a rational human.

It seems many are on to this woman and her way of operating. It seems to me that it would be high time to take this lady down and teach her a few manners.

I personally do not see how anyone can be taken by her. She is so obvious in her manner that she is an opportunist. And just look at her eyes and you see a true snake slithering.
But, then, we are talking about those who voted twice for Bush so, I guess I am giving people too much credit for seeing through a phoney like her.
To everybody who wants media to concentrate solely on the Presidential candidates: good advice re conventional wisdom a la Frank Rich: "America always votes the top of the ticket." We're having an unusual year folks. The actuarial reality means only boneheads vote for McCain without considering the bottom of the ticket. Dems and GOP inside Beltway are exquisitely aware of this. Think about how different things would be if he'd picked Ridge or Bloomberg . . . . .
While I agree with a lot of the other posters here that the article is more or less just ruminating over the horror we all recognize (and so kind of a waste of bandwidth), the picture, which I honestly rarely notice (at least until other readers start shrieking about how inappropriate some photo or juxtaposition is), really is interesting and horrible this time, and I honest to god (I guess I just lost half my readers by saying that), feel it is telling (and now I'm about to lose the rest of them); it is not an unflattering picture, not one of those tabloid hatchet jobs, and yet...it shows up a profile that's truly ghastly, that looks predatory and, well, mean, that resembles, seriously now, the alien in "Alien." Like that second mouth is about to come shooting out to bite somebody in the head.
Prove to me she's really from this planet. Prove it. Go on, I'm waiting...
