So all we find out about this Victor Kohring is that, according to the author, who doesn't feel compelled to explain this to readers, he is a "victim of the FBI's oil corruption sting."
Hmm. So because he's anti-Palin, you, readers, need not know what he did, why he's in prison, whether perhaps there is some perfectly reasonable, corruption-related reason Palin cut him off, if she did (as opposed to the pathetically sexist explanation that she's just a "mean girl") -- all YOU need to know is that this reporter found somebody to say something bad about Sarah Palin, so the reason he wants to talk trash about her is irrelevant.
Because you're supposed to march in lockstep.
I'm perfectly willing to entertain real evidence that Palin isn't the reformer she says she is -- I'm suspicious of anybody in politics who makes such claims. But this isn't it. It's simply character assassination and rumor mongering, wrapped up in a sexist subtext, with unsubstantiated claims of anti-semitism thrown in in a huff.
I am beginning to wonder why it is that Salon writers have so little respect for their readers.
