  • You cannot fault Sarah or Todd for working together

For cryin' out loud, Eleanor helped Franklin enormously. The first spouse is supposed to help the Governor. If you have something specific, go ahead and allege it. Otherwise, please work on some other, more reasonable avenue of attack.

  • He's dreamy...

He's about the only thing I like about Sarah. I can see why she has so many kids....

    (inappropriate, I know)

  • can I ask the obvious question?

if he's so involved in government, and has 2 jobs, who's minding the kids?

the Palins need to bring their nanny (s?) up on stage with them next time. there's no way they're running their household without a team of assistants. If they are going to showcase their family, the American public should be able to see how it's really done.

  • Sarah and the first caveman have got a plan

    To turn Alaska's snowy tundras

    Into tropical beaches

    Of pure white sand...

  • Give it a rest.

She'd hardly be the first politician whose spouse was hanging around or knew a little about what she was working on.

Sarah Palin has done more for women like me by far than the leftist shitheads all over Salon who tore Hillary down, victims of their own misogyny and sheer stupidity. They've done WHAT for any of us besides insist on their incompetent idealistic icons from Howard Dean to Nobama ensuring the government stays in Republican hands for almost 40 years.

    THAT doesn't help women.

  • @Ianna

He is. He can hang around my desk anytime... :-)

  • Hootowl & Inana & Todd make

    The greasome threesome.

  • goatees

I am so f@#$%^g sick of assholes with goatees. It's the male equivalent of the tramp stamp (albeit reversible). Why is everything in this country run by ignorant white trash poseurs? When will the madness end??

  • Another Palin Article?

    Really? Really?

  • What a Scandal - I Couldn't Imagine A Democrat Doing This.

I couldn't imagine a Democrat (such as Bill Clinton) letting his spouse hang aroung the office, having her involved in "state business" and exerting "unusual influence on her husband's (state and then federal) government." How shocking of Palin; what a tremendous scandal Mike Madden and Salon have uncovered here!

  • And he's indicted.

    Currently. As we speak.

Sarah "Barracuda" (as the Governor and the GOP like to style her) is currently refusing to talk to investigators about the events surrounding "Troopergate." An investigator hired by her own state legislature and law-makers.

I'm a fan of this forget Palin, go after McCain strategy. But my bet still remains: I'm offering even odds that Governor Palin is indicted and pulled from the GOP ticket before this thing goes to November.

It's not easy to attack an investigation by your own state legislature, which is overwhelmingly Republican, as partisan. It's even harder to serve in any office from jail.

If there's a realistic chance (which I think there will be) either or both Palins is going to jail, it's gonna be awfully hard to keep the good Governor on the ticket.

  • It's Todd's job to make the coffee

    And to wipe Sarah's mouth

    When lunch time gets sloppy.

  • Oh for Godsakes..

But my bet still remains: I'm offering even odds that Governor Palin is indicted and pulled from the GOP ticket before this thing goes to November.

    Have another cup of koolaide.

  • Not indicted. Only under subpoena

He's only required to testify. He hasn't been charged with any crimes, as far as I know.

  • Eleanor's Role

Todd Palin is no Eleanor Roosevelt and in 1921 Roosevelt contracted polio, and Eleanor stepped in because of his paralysis, and there was a genuine need. Todd is a conflict of interest because of his employment with the oil companies. Eleanor's passions was social needs and she became a viable and effective liason. Many have benefitted from Eleanor's intervenions, but the question is who is benefiting from Todd's intervention in state matters, especially with his strong arm tactics and intimidation? Please do not compare Eleanor Roosevelt to Todd Palin. I suggest that you read America A Narrative History by George Brown Tindall and David E. Shie, and one will find a wealth of informative data regarding Eleanor's role in the presidency.

  • My bad, subpoenaed.

It's hard to keep track of. The early reports from Alaska on Friday were he would be subpoenaed, brought home and indicted.

But then again since the mainstream press won't report anything remotely negative on the Palins it is difficult to keep track. One must go to Alaska for news on them. Even criminal news. Like subpoenas and trials.

ANCHORAGE -- The abuse of power investigation against Sarah Palin, Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate, took a potentially ominous turn for her party on Friday when state lawmakers voted to subpoena her husband.

Republican efforts to delay the probe until after the Nov. 4 election were thwarted when GOP State Sen. Charlie Huggins, who represents Palin's hometown of Wasilla, sided with Democrats. "Let's just get the facts on the table," said Huggins, who appeared in camouflage pants to vote during a break from moose hunting."

Were Eleanor and Franklin subpoenaed? Cause if they were, then yeah it would have been a big deal THEN that they were CRIMINALLY helping their spouse to.

I'm sorry but people's willingness to fall for any moderately attractive married white people under the age of 50 is one of the stranger phenomenons in this country.

These people are criminals. That's my problem with them. Plain and simple.

  • Creepy

Todd is really cute. I’m afraid he may get the gay vote and slam the election. However, if these two ever get to Washington they will end up in a big—big—house with nothing to do. No Moose to kill, no Democrats to gut. Nothing. You can put lipstick on Todd, but you still have Todd.

  • @spencer

They didn't gut Democrats in Alaska. They governed very bi-partisanly actually, but I'm sure that won't deter you and the rest of the Obama! koolaide crowd.

But for the record I hope she IS hell on the albatrossic far leftwing of the party. They've been a sinker to us for 40 years and it would be a pleasure to watch.

  • Todd Palin

"Palin's office redacted most of what they turned over, and refused to turn over more than 1,000 messages, citing executive privilege. Todd Palin got a copy of about 40 of those messages, though -- which makes it hard to figure out why other members of the public can't also have them."

Why was Todd Palin receiving official government e-mails? HE IS NOT A GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE!!!

And what about the fact that he is a member of the AIP??????? My God, Obama got raked over the coals about his PASTOR who is angry about America......this guy wants to SECEDE and is getting a free pass from the media.
