Sarah Palin's powerful "First Dude"

Todd Palin has exerted unusual influence on his wife's Alaska government. In Washington, their methods would do Bush and Cheney proud.

    @asIsee

    Hootowl, what exactly has Palin done for "women like you?"

    Demonstrated that women can be in leadership roles. Women who have families and husbands that earn less and take care of the kids. For starters.

    What has the LEFT done for me except tear down our candidate that WOULD have won in a hateful manner and foisted an obvious loser on the ticket of which over half the party had a clear issue with. Not like it's the first time either; they've insisted on taking the Dems so far out of the mainstream (while having the nerve to blame the center left) that so many eleections have been lost the ENTIRE judiciary from top to bottom is stacked with radical rightwingers.

    Uh,how does that help me? How did attacking Hillary so she had to fight the Repugs AND the "activist" liberals help me? All it did was ensure a McCain victory. A big one at that by all objective measures these days.

    And the issue is not whether First Dude "helps" her or not--it's the fact that if you release emails to any private citizen (which Todd is), then you can't deny those emails to other citizens who ask for them.

    So what even if? It'd be at best minor in the long list of GOP abuses and it's hardly showstopper stuff.

    You're wasting your time. I'd say go out and outline differences between Obama and McCain but 1) once Obama didn't have the Clinton campaign to steal from he fast ran out of stuff to say and 2) He's had all summer and has made NO inroads at all with voters so he's not likely to now and

    3) the GOP hasn't even begun the worst of the attack ads.

    Doesn't look so good now does it.
