Sarah Palin's powerful "First Dude"

Todd Palin has exerted unusual influence on his wife's Alaska government. In Washington, their methods would do Bush and Cheney proud.

the tone of this artice is a little off

I'm all for forgetting Palin. I was obsessed like everyone else for a while. I hoped every day to read something (more, undeniably) devastating about Palin. A real nail in her political coffin (though sadly, I accept it's probably not coming). Now I'm just sick of her.

Yes I believe it's interesting to look into Todd's getting official govt business-topic emails. Interesting to look at his role. And yes I believe the gaping loophole of communications access (used by Dems and Repubs as you point out) should be addressed. Definitely.

However, I don't think it's odd for him to be around a lot. Esp when his job is seasonal. I hardly think anyone faulted HRC for "hanging around". It's not that I think the question his stealth influence is unworthy - but...the tone of this article comes off as desperate. It just looks like you're trying SO HARD to sling something at Palin (Not necessary - I already dislike her enough on the issues alone).

Be REALLY careful here or it will look like you're going to claim that the first FM in her position has gotten there by the influence/manipulation of her husband. That's not a good move. It might actually constitute the first truly sexist treatment of her. Your desperation to point some fingers at her will only make "us" look bad, not her. I'd be careful here.
