The Bible is great. Read all about Salome and the dance of the seven veils, as well as John the Baptist's head on a platter but,

if you don't care for that, try Oscar Wilde's "Salome" which I don't think has anything to do with salami. Whichever tickles your fancy, they're not m-o-n-o-t-o-n-o-o-s, as all the commotion about Sarah Palin has increasingly become. She's Attila the Hun, she's Joan of Arc, she's Ma Barker, she's Delilah......Extremism works both ways. Queen Elizabeth 1 was "good Queen Bess" to her admirers but "bloody Bess" to those she had locked in the Tower to await a grisly fate.
