    timbuktom, I like your christianist. I think it will work but it needs an adjective . . .

    just so there is no doubt. May I suggest radical christianist to distinguish them from the decent and fair people who recognize that Roman Catholics are not only Christians but were Christians first. Those people who are always willing to ignore historical fact seem to me to be by definition pretty damned stupid.
