We all have to try to put away this anger, from both sides as evidenced by the posts just above this, which I myself have been guilty of in the past. Important decisions are better made from a place of thought than from a place of emotion usually, as is information better exchanged with civil discourse instead of rants.
Okay, maybe I shouldn't have used that word. "Barack Obama spent a portion of his youth in poverty," how's that?
Because yes, damn it, if your mother has to apply for food stamps to keep you fed, you are poor. You may not be as poor as some other people -- poverty is always relative; most poor people in America are rich by comparison to what passes for the middle class in much of the world -- but you need food stamps, you are not middle class and you are damn sure not rich.
Rich, as in John Sidney McCain III. Who had his Annapolis appointment handed to him on a silver platter because of who his daddy and granddaddy were, who couldn't fly worth a damn and who was only given a flying post because of his lineage, whose incompetent piloting gave him the opportunity for his oh-so-heroic POW experience (after he had already crashed four planes!), who dumped the wife who waited for him through the years of his captivity so he could marry from "comfortably wealthy" up into "obscenely wealthy." Who can't remember how many houses he owns. Who thinks that if you make four million dollars a year, you're middle class.
And yes, any poor or middle-class person who thinks this coddled aristocrat is somehow more like them than a man who worked his way to the top, a true Horatio Alger story of the type conservatives claim to love but clearly loathe (remember what they did to a guy named Clinton?) is beyond hope.
"Barack Obama spent a portion of his youth in poverty," how's that?
Hardly. He had his grandparents to milk until he finally exasperated them to no end by storing stolen lunch money in their freezer.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish here? You're here slinging accusations, many of them quite ridiculois and not backing them with any type of evidence. You're not adding anything worthwhile to the discussion and pretty much just making it seem as if you're a troll. If that's not what you are, then you may want to change your tone. If that is what you are, admit it and then feel free to consider youself ignored.
Bill Clinton was a Rhode Scholar who studied at Oxford. Palin has had a passport for one year.
And, Frankly, Chelsea Clinton is more intelligent, far more well traveled, far more knowable about world affairs, and yes, far more experienced than Mrs. Palin.
Hillary Clinton is not the way to beat Palin.
Chelsea Clinton is way to beat Palin!
And that fall in the polls began WAY before the end of the primary. He was losing these large states left and right... no pun intended but he still is. He won tiny little caucus states where Democrats would never win anyway - 2,000 people voted. Does that a win make? No.
The Boys Club wanted their puppet to win. They raped and ambushed the best candidate in the race to get their hands on the power through this done nothing. SMALL TOWN BITTER WHITE FOLKS CLINGING TO THEIR GUNS AND RELIGION --- STILL AREN'T GOING TO VOTE FOR HIM. WHY? THEY DO NOT TRUST HIM OR "BELIEVE" IN HIM. Why should they? What has he EVER done to say prove he is qualified to do anything aside from gather the Boys Club to his side, send out his PIT BULL DAVID AXELROD, sit by and call Bill Clinton a racist.
Barack Obama can go to the devil. He can take the Boys Club with him.
HE WAS LOSING IN MARCH - AND ON THROUGH JUNE.
HE WAS AN ILLUSION.
ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT PRESIDENTIAL. AND IT HAS CERTAINLY LOST IT'S PHONY SHINY LEAD.
HE'S BEEN LOSING FOR A LOOONG TIME. THE SUPER THUGS STOLE THE NOMINATION FOR HIM.
THE PEOPLE DIDN'T VOTE FOR OBAMA.
HE'S AS ILLEGITIMATE AS GW. ONLY HE TAKES TWO VACATIONS IN SIX MONTHS.
WHILE AMERICANS ARE WORKING LIKE DOGS TO JUST FILL THEIR TANKS AND STAY WARM THIS WINTER.
AUDACITY IS MILD.
THE BOYS CLUB PLUS PELOSI AND EGOBAMA CAN BARK LOOONG AND HARD AT THE NOVEMBER MOON.
SMALL TOWN BITTER WHITE FOLK HAVE HIGHER STANDARDS THAN THIS DONE NOTHING WITH A COCKTAIL NAPKIN RESUME
AND THEY'RE CLINGING TO THEM !
For people who profess to be so much smarter than the rest of us it's odd that you keep insisting on picking candidates just to rattle your ideological opposites of equal extreme instead of the qualified candidate who can beat the GOPsters.
You'd think 40 years later you'd catch on. Note the party of "dumb hicks" was careful to nominate the only candidate they had that hadn't alienated hispanics and independents.
You nominated an empty suit with more baggage than an airport and willfully destroyed a QUALIFIED candidate with a proven record and who was picking up every major battleground state and big electoral vote state handily.
And you call small-town folks dumb? Now THAT's as audacious asy your emptysuited candidate running for President with a razor thin resume and a truckload of damning associations. Which you all KNEW about in plenty of time to save yourselves.
You people never learn.
I kind of like the "trolls", or the people who don't support Obama - keeps everyone on their toes.
You however, are a fucking idiot, moron, waste of space and need to shut the fuck up.
When asked what year it was 21% of Rural Americans answered 1967, 36% answered 1953.
Sports highlights, and the weather with Kathy Jackson, at 11!
I challenge him to interview Chelsea Clinton and he can do so in an even more intelligent manner.
She experienced her fathers more than 10 years as Governor of Arkansas. His eight years as President. She experienced her mothers 6 years as Senator from the Great State of New York. She just survived the most vicious primary, maybe ever.
Chelsea Clinton is more intelligent, far more well traveled, far more knowable about world affairs, and yes, far more experienced than Mrs. Palin.
I read that again because it's true.
Chelsea Clinton is more intelligent, far more well traveled, far more knowable about world affairs, and yes, far more experienced than Mrs. Palin.
