McCain's big running-mate rollout

Romney and Giuliani helped supply Wednesday night's "paranoid" conservative politics, while Sarah Palin showed she's no Dick Cheney.

    That said

Sen. Obama has never implied that John McCain is a traitor. In fact, he's said plenty of great things about McCain. I don't think McCain should be the president, but no serious person doubts McCain's patriotism.

Furthermore, after what Obama said in his convention speech and the few times he's spoken this week, I think he'd be angry to hear a "supporter" of his calling Gov. Palin a tramp. What a vile thing to say! Obama already stated several times that that's not what this election is about. I think it's important to defeat McCain/Palin in November--maybe vitally important--but the people slurring Palin and McCain don't speak for me or most Obama supporters. They are on a different planet from Obama himself, who's been a complete mensch this week.

There's a laundry list of legitimate criticisms one can level against Palin, McCain, and the Republican Party. It totally undercuts your argument when you call them names.

Actually, I'm kind of mad that you've made me stick up for her. I don't even like Palin.
