Notice a trend here? Madden's syrupy ignorant bias is laden with weak assertions, rumor, and poor reasoning. What an embarrassment for any magazine that thinks it might be credible in the least.
She must be pretty danm good if all the media critics (read Obama flacks)can talk about is the process not the person.
Are any of the religeous right seeing Gods hand in any of this?
re: "She is a Republican and that is the real danger."
You said it.
You've chosen an apt moniker.
re: "laden with weak assertions, rumor, and poor reasoning"
A perfect description -- of Bush's case for waging war against Iraq.
Levi Johnston marries Bristol Palin before Nov. 4, dragging every TV camera in America to the celebration. McCains are invited. They wave and kiss a lot. Minister blesses everyone in sight. Obama watches from a hotel room. Biden fulminates in Oshkosh.
The Palin nomination is a disaster for those of us who hate her policies. But maybe not a disaster for those who love her policies. What is good for Obama is, it reframes the "experience" argument. Who is going to think Palin's two years of "executive" experience is going to be a reason to vote for McCain-Palin? Anyone who looks at Palin as a reason to support the GOP is not interested in experience, they are interested in electing a religious soulmate. If experience is important, everyone knows Biden has a lot more.
But now the talking point is, "Yes, but McCain has more experience than Obama". Really? He has been a senator longer. And he certainly has been running for the top job longer. But what, I wonder, is the real difference between a guy who's been a in Congress since my grown child was born, and someone who's been a senator for four years? A big difference in the Senate, which runs on seniority. But in terms of the ability to be president? I wonder.
What this race is about is (1) character and (2) competence, including the likelihood the winner will appoint competent people. I leave it to the reader to figure out who wins in those categories.
Who begetted her?
If she can't stop her daughter being fucked, how's she gunna stop america being fucked?
Yes! Who would be in charge if McCain were to win? Who's in charge now, for that matter?
When Bush the Younger was running, Ralph Nader called him "a giant corporation disguised as a human being."
Any thoughts that John McCain is a different kind of Republican vanished with his choice of Sarah Palin, who embodies the far right wing of the Republican party.
She has motivated the evangelical conservatives to get excited about his candidacy but hopefully she also will reunite all Democrats, making us realize that no matter what our differences are, we have much more in common with each other than we do with a party that thinks Sarah Palin is qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.
Perhaps McCain thought by selecting a female vice presidential, he would attract some of us who supported Hillary Clinton. I can think of no greater disservice to Sen. Clinton than voting for a ticket with this woman on it.
We are all flying off into space.
The Republican National Convention just applauded what Dr Laura is pleased to call a "sperm donor" for being a baby daddy.
When are we going to run out of air?
This woman has nothing to do with most/all mainstream typical women of today. P A L I N ' S an A L I E N
Let's not be too hard on McPain. He is a very sick man. I'm sure during one of his dementia breakthroughs that he remembered vetting Failin' Palin. I'm sure he dreamed he was doing SOMETHING to her (given the drool running down his chin as he stands beside her when she speaks), but I'm not sure it was vetting. She was a desperation choice to catch Hellary's sulking loser vote, and the fact that she is too stupid to realize she is being totally used as a token trophy VP only proves she is not what America needs. Maybe McCain needs her--for something--but not in an official capacity. And good luck with THAT, McWar!
The RNC disgusts me.
I LOVE how everyone jumped up and said " hey don't pick on the pregnant teen! their family matters are private."
Not when you are trying to run the VP ticket. Evey pimple, hair and herpe is on the front page.
If you are a Hard wired Right winger who pounds the bible like frat boys pound sa keg, you had BEST have your ducks in a row.
She likes to hunt, no its her turn on the other end of the barrel. Happy hunting media. Maybe you'll be of use for once.

Sarah Palin?
She embodies the same semiotic of naïve political sophistry that dog whistles those sick of elites in politics. She won’t have to have an in-depth knowledge of foreign policy, or economic management, or the history of America for that matter. She’s Tammy standing by her man, she’s the coal miner’s daughter, the all American girl who happens to come from Alaska. Palin is not simply McCain’s choice for VP but rather the love child of GWB and those who voted for him over the last 8 years.
Much of the initial coverage about Fort Hood turned out to be wrong. Is there anything wrong with that?
