    Woman to woman

Any thoughts that John McCain is a different kind of Republican vanished with his choice of Sarah Palin, who embodies the far right wing of the Republican party.

She has motivated the evangelical conservatives to get excited about his candidacy but hopefully she also will reunite all Democrats, making us realize that no matter what our differences are, we have much more in common with each other than we do with a party that thinks Sarah Palin is qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

Perhaps McCain thought by selecting a female vice presidential, he would attract some of us who supported Hillary Clinton. I can think of no greater disservice to Sen. Clinton than voting for a ticket with this woman on it.
