It is not just what you say but it is how you say it that makes a difference. I heard the consummate political opportunist fully endorse herself as President and leader of the Democratic Party. As a consequence, her “support” for Obama as President was neither enthusiastic nor respectful. If you are a Hillary fan, then I would have to concur that her performance was brilliant; it was also cleverly self-serving and condescending. Obviously, the Obama people are interested in unifying the party and moving on to do battle with the Republicans. It is hard to imagine that they could be pleased with Hillary’s performance though they are forced to spin it as if they are. It will be fascinating to see what Bill has to say and how he says it. So far, Barack Obama is on the outside, looking in.
Respectfully yours,
