Isn't she lovely?

In her prime-time speech Monday, Michelle Obama foiled her harshest detractors and perhaps even won over Middle America.

    I hope America was watching

I confess that I did not like Michelle but her speech last night made me very proud of her! The speech was well written but in particular it was well delivered. I hope that America watched it...the polls this morning are not showing any impact; however, it is premature to say she hasn't had a positive influence on this election with this speech. Michelle looked beautiful and the family scene was very compelling at the closing.

I wish the convention had not gotten off to such a slow, lifeless start...I'm afraid too many may have switched channels before the really good parts began. Nancy Pelosi's speech was awful...trite...poorly delivered, but above all, boring. None but die-hard Democrats would have suffered through without changing channels.
