We learned that from the last election, didn't we? Anyway, loved the post by Hank007 ... the whole "he was a crap soldier and lousy pilot" when speaking of McSame. Cracked me up. And to Belly's point, I'd be all for a 527 ad of ex-pilots speaking how the guy blew his mission. Sorry, but after what those scumbags did to Kerry, I'll never hold a Republican candidate's service to his country in reverence again, especially one running for national office.
Anyway, it's time to go negative. Maybe Biden can help do that, but I also think Team Obama needs to tear a page from the Clinton handbook and start playing hardball with their ads. Give us one with Bush and McCain in every frame and a list of what they've accomplished together (soaring gas prices, stagnant wages, plunging stock market, a horrible job market, the human and financial toll of Iraq [yes, with #S], foreclosures, foreclosures, foreclosures), and the end with something like "Can American afford four more years of this?"
Seems like a no-brainer but I've yet to see it, and though I did like their quick response to McCain's personal property gaffe, the American public will ultimately get tired of hearing it and presumes most politicans are rich as kings anyway. And where's MoveOn been? I thought they had gobs of cash to toss into this fight? Are they waiting for till after Labor Day? The last ad I saw from them was that horrible, treacly thing with the young mother and her baby. Hell, hire Carville if you have to. Just do something.
