GOP: Here's to Hillary's big party! Nothing would delight Republicans more than for the Clintons to upstage Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention.

The person with whom you are currently arguing -- a fairly recent addition -- has writing that bears a striking resemblance to a person with whom you were very recently arguing in the comments section to one of Joan's blogposts. I had been arguing with that person as well and finally lost all patience with him and put him on my ignore list.

Upon reading Toecutter, a little light bulb came on and I put him immediately on my ignore list as well.

Just thought you might like to know.

I'm afraid you FAIL your little test as I am truly new to this forum. As for putting me on your Ignore list it's truly sad you only like to hear the echo of those that agree with you (it makes me wonder about your classroom). However I'm not going to sweat it as faux intellectuals and forum snobs really aren't worth my time.

    /bye

AKASmith is merely giving you the lay of the land...her land as it were.

  • Toecutter @ aka

AKA is only a legend in her own mind. She has more people on her ignore list than she has grey cells in her head. Actually, she is a legend in her own mind. She fancies herself as an intellectual but her small mind is so closed that pliers lose their shape upon entry. Being on her ignore list is a badge of honor.

  • Keep an ignore list

    Seal it with a kiss

    Ignorance

    The sweetest bliss.

It's not just a philosophy, it's a sheltered way of life...

I repeat, it is the spineless weasles who call themselves independents who since 2000 are more interested in the frivolous, "a president you can have beer with" or "Al Gore invented the internet" or "swiftboat attack" that according to the exit polls and the media delivered the presidency to Bush. You can now conveniently say you voted for the Democrats even though you claim otherwise. You could have voted for Nader or anybody for all I care stop this inflammatory attack on Hillary to polarize the Democratic party.

The primaries are over, Obama won and we are attempting to unite the party. Whether Hillary was the favorite or not is beside the point. It is not unusual. Romney had the money and the conservative base behind him and so was Rudy Gulliani in the Republican party while McCain was almost forgotten and left without money until events turned in his favor. That is politics and it is ridiculous to use it to destroy Hillary.

Continuously litigating the primary on why she lost and how awful and untrustworthy (as if any politician is)she is, in my opinion is counterproductive to the party and I am not going to allow a self-described independent to do that.

Go and support your so-called "maverick" who is a flip-flopper extraordinnaire and who is going to continue Bush's disastrous 8 year policies and let us Democrats heal and unite to defeat him. It has been the modus operandi of the Republican party with the help of the corporate lazy media to sow the seed of discord among the Democrats to allow weak candidates like Bush and McCain to sneak through. I have had it up my eyebrows with this tactics of "divide and conquer" that has allowed the Republicans to depress the Democratic base voter turnout and the so-called independents to align themselves with these Republicans to elect one of the most disastrous presidents we have ever had. Leave us alone.

  • @saman65

With out wanting to punctute your pet theory about independents (I'm one) I don't hang out at the local pool hall, or even have a "brewsky" at home with the fellas to watch a ballgame.

I'm a very infrequent drinker (with a preference for Persian tea) and I hate every spectator sport played competitively here in the western hemisphere and beyond.

So, the bottom line, when you try to tag and categorize a constituency of people, you should begin by knowing what you're talking about, and just in general, by being in touch with the times and contemporary society.

It should be noted, probably, not to mention profitably, that you should take sterner stock of yourself. You are way off the mark, and waaaay out of touch.

Your obsession with the Clinton's borders on hysteria. Perhaps Xanax, who posts here quite often, will send you a few xanax pills to take when your anxiety about the Clinton's surfaces. On second thought, you better get your own prescription. And, it should be obvious that anyone could upstage the bungling Barack at the convention, even you. Oh, by the way, your "USA Today" is showing.

While it's nice to see such a broad brushing of independent voters, the fact is that what you listed could have come from someone with an R or D affiliation. The thing I find so amusing about partisans is that they become so wrapped up in the party line that nothing else matters.

I've voted for a variety of candidates in my lifetime, however what letter they had next to their name wasn't the reason I voted for them and partisan hackery is what has gotten us in the mess we're in today.

Continuously litigating the primary on why she lost and how awful and untrustworthy (as if any politician is)she is, in my opinion is counterproductive to the party and I am not going to allow a self-described independent to do that.

Oh it won't be little old me on a message board who is going to "tear apart" the Democratic Party. You need to look no further than the militant Clinton supporters who are threatening to sit out this election or vote for McCain. Some of them are here posting on this very forum yet I'm the bad guy?

    Priorities I guess.

Go and support your so-called "maverick" who is a flip-flopper extraordinnaire and who is going to continue Bush's disastrous 8 year policies and let us Democrats heal and unite to defeat him.

Perhaps you missed something. I don't like McCain and don't want him to win. I would have preferred Richardson but he ran a weak campaign and washed out. I have never liked Hillary as a politician nor did I think she could win given the baggage she carries that gets overlooked by the hardcore partisans. Obama is hardly perfect either but I think he's far more palatable given the current field.
