GOP: Here's to Hillary's big party!

Nothing would delight Republicans more than for the Clintons to upstage Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention.

The letters thread is now closed.

And lest I forget, I do not worry about Hillary's debt. Campaigns get saddled with debts all the time and she will be fine. That should be least of your worries in a presidential election the Democrats have advantages but do not seem to get traction from all the arrogant, petulant nonsensical crap coming from people like you.

It seems the point flew entirely over your head. If half the democratic party was behind Hillary as you claim then her rank and file supporters of "18 million" should be able to cough up a few dollars to remove her campaign debt.

Except that you and many others are inflating her true support and the dollars speak for themselves.

But please continue with the personal attacks. It makes you look like an even bigger hypocrite.

"What is funny is that as a Democrat I was not expecting you to continue to harbor this resentment against another Democrat. That is definitely a sign of immaturity.

Ahhh, where did I say I was a Democrat? I've been an independent voter for quite some time now which apparently frees me from being a slave to like and dislike whatever candidate I see fit.

During the start of the Democratic primary in 1988, Jesse Jackson was the choice of majority of registered voters. I did not hear anybody say that he expected to be crowned king because of his name recognition, inside connection and all the crap you touted.

Jessie Jackson was never the favorite to win the nomination in 1988 nor, apart from name recognition, did he fit any of the criteria I stated previously. You need to find a relevant example first.

What is new is the vehement attack on Hillary. It is not necessary for you to continue to use the primaries to bash another Democrat.

Given the amount of vitriol I've heard from the PUMA brigade regarding Obama I find your commentary incredibly ironic.

Physician heal thyself"

Oh, independent, those spineless weasles who claim they do not belong to any party and are responsible according to the media for putting Bush to two terms. Now I have to put your crap in perspective because a true Democrat will not continue this.

It is not ironic if you take yourself as the flipside of the so-called PUMA, they do not want party unity I want it for the country's sake.

What do you mean that Jesse Jackson was not the favorite at the start when he was leading the polls at the start of the Democratic primaries? The same was in 1992, Clinton was not the leading candidate and 2004 Kerry was not the favorite. I am merely pointing out that what the polls initially indicate do not necessary mean that is what will eventually turn out.

That is the reason they have the primary, because what turns out initially as the advantages for Hillary eventually dissipated with some of her own mistakes and the pummeling she got from the media. Ask Dr. Dean and you will understand what I mean.

I do not hold any statistics on this as it is widely reported in the media which is definitely anti-Hillary. Again, step away from Hillary's debt she will be fine but I know it is asking too much of you because you are independent and you do not give a flip if the Democrats "implode" so you can go ahead and continue your anti-Hillary crap, I am done with you.

HOPE, NONPARTISAN, CAN DO (Hallmark Cards, Inc.)

ZZZZ--idiocy---madness...zzzz...I'm sorry. were you talking to me? Because I sure as hell aint listening to that crap anymore!I mean, how naive are you? That doesnt sound like BS to you after while? THATS why Obama cannot seal the deal--blame it on Hillary, race, class--anything you like. Tha majority of Dems just dont know what the hell he is going to do--and neither do you. We'll never get to find out if yu dont stop trying to "fight" people into voting for your candidate. And, for Gawd's sake, lose the "hope", at least...just tell peopel youre gonna kick their ass if they dont vote Obama--that should work, right?

To saman65:

As someone who used to grade quite a few essays, I found that I am well enough attuned to writing style that I could recognize my students' writing often, even when they neglected to put their names on the paper. How a person strings words together and how his personality is revealed by his writing tells a great deal.

The person with whom you are currently arguing -- a fairly recent addition -- has writing that bears a striking resemblance to a person with whom you were very recently arguing in the comments section to one of Joan's blogposts. I had been arguing with that person as well and finally lost all patience with him and put him on my ignore list.

Upon reading Toecutter, a little light bulb came on and I put him immediately on my ignore list as well.

Just thought you might like to know.

@AKASmith

Superb diagnosis. Donah will not go on my ignore list though. He she or it is just another incediary idiot in my book, and will receive in return, a burn for each burn.

I find in life the more you ignore, the more life has a tendency to creep up from behind and take a bite out of your backside, but of course I never taught English composition to high schoolers, so I defer all better judgement to you.

I'm so glad you can acknowedge the other side of all the ugliness, and your response is pretty typical of what I always more or less expect.
