Who should be capitulated to if not her supporters? Capitulate to Iowans so they continue to feel self-important about starting the Obama train? Capitulate to Virginians? Who should Obama capitulate to instead of half the Democratic party?

BTW, Shapiro's mention of the angry-left connects well with many LW's here that have laid out scurrilous character slurs at Hillary throughout even though their horse won...not classy folks. Actually, the real capitulation has been from the left (under the psuedonym "progressive"). They capitulated to decade-old GOP Hillary hate talk: she's divisive, phony, negative baggage and untrustworthy.
They didn't even think of it themselves, they just took old slurs and ran with it. So next time I hear from "progressives" that republicans can't tell the truth, I'll sit back and say, "apparently except when they talk about the Clintons!". Because the left is more than happy to run with that ball as if republicans are speaking truth to power. Very disturbing.
Obama supporters on here should remember that he only won by a slim amount of delegates and still needs superdelegates to actually get the nomination. So the arrogance and anger is a bit troubling here. Reach out a hand why don'chya, and you'll find one there ready to grab it. But your current style is keeping others at bay.

No, the old GOP hate talk against Hillary was that she was the living incarnation of Satan, Stalin, and Hitler and had some hidden death squad knocking off rivals while plotting some grand socialist utopia.
The rest of us realized that she was untrustworty, divisive, phony, etc from actually watching her career over the years. We weren't blinded by Bill Clinton as the great and shining star leaving his wife to fill some great political dynasty. Just because the Right Wing attacked Hillary doesn't mean she automatically qualifies as a Saint, nor does it mean that half the party follows in lock-step with the Clintons.
If anything look beyond the insular world of petty party rivalries to see where the election will really be decided.
For those who claim PUMAs are just a tiny percentage of the electorate, more than 8 million Clinton supporters have not made the decision to support Barack Obama.
That's a lot of votes for the Democrats to throw away but of course I keep reading on Salon that they're all really Republicans.

Because Biden doesn't have a small army of 'very enthusiastic' supporters wrecking havoc within the party, making demands [like Hillary]. You don't hear Biden supporters threatening (or promising) to take over and purge the party or start a new one (not that that isn't a bad idea, but we can question the timing). You don't hear them saying they wuz robbed like quite a few posters said last night here.
Some people will conclude that selecting Hillary amounts to capitulation. I don't see how that favors Obama. -Prior Fester screed.
