GOP: Here's to Hillary's big party!

Nothing would delight Republicans more than for the Clintons to upstage Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention.

The letters thread is now closed.

I Wish It Could Be Hillary's Big Party

The way the undemocratic party has been running lately I hope it is Hillary's big party. Clinton delegates have been discouraged from going to Denver, harassed about going to Denver and even asked to sign a loyalty oath to Obama if they persist on going. Even the nomination and roll call vote were a huge battle to get done. Basically I don't see why the Democratic Party can't go by its own rules and stop acting like this is a big party. The idea is to nominate a candidate for the United States. Hillary Clinton is to be shut up and her supporters are to shut up for what? There is no way the Democrats can win the White House this way and shouldn't. There aren't even any principles to defend after the undemocratic things that have gone on in this election. I may watch Hillary and Bill at the convention and I probably will watch Joe Lieberman at the Republican convention but that will be my only foray into the convention world. I will then vote for Nader or Mc Cain as my conscience allows.

So all the interviewees were Republicans

and they get to set the expectations for the Democratic Convention?

@lellingw

Would you like some cheese with your whine?

But, ask yourselves, do you think you look strong and confident after this close and hard-fought contest, when you supporters of the most successful women candidate in US history do nothing but bitch and moan like a bunch of bratty sore losers afterward?

Oh yes! I am sure the US public is looking forward to having another female presidential candidate REAL soon!

@ rebecalouise: Did you ever get that pedicure?

Shall I look up that post in which you whined mightily because in the course of campaigning for Obama you hadn't had time to get a pedicure?

At least women "bitching" about Hillary Clinton not being the nominee are complaining about something more consequential than that.

Obama/Clinton/McCain/Conventions etc

Never even bothered to read the article. Who cares? We all know that American politics is just a crock of shit. Obama is raising $55 MILLION Dollars a month. Clinton is spamming her supporters to help her with her campaign debt and the PUMAS are responding. Lord know to what evil depths John McCain has sold his soul. The Russians are now on the verge of invading the Ukraine and retaking Poland. Will the Poles ever get a break? If Barack Obama had a soul he would donate all his campaign contributions to help re-build New Orleans. Otherwise he and Oprah are just a couple of rich Niggers with an agenda. If Hillary Clinton really cared she would be screaming her fat ass off about Health Care, about HPV and how the Pharmaceutical companies are marketing every vagina born in the last 15 years into a Love Canal crisis. Otherwise she is just a power hungry cunt waiting to squirt on the vest of some congressional page. If John McCain were still alive, he would turn the VA into a model of healthcare efficiency and extend that success to every American. Otherwise he is just another limp-dicked old fart waxing nostalgic over times that are long gone and have no fucking chance of ever returning. Earth to McCain; Go Fuck Yourself. So that seems to be this year's universal campaign slogan. Go Fuck Yourself. As for myself, come November I am voting for Satan. God is Dead, the Devil has escaped, and I can't wait for all Hell to break loose.

my pedicure...finally

Well, since that posting, I helped set up 2 campaign offices in my "Red" County, set up outreach and other campaign events that registered about 1000 new voters and helped raise almost $40,000 -- but -- I will finally get my pedicure -- tomorrow -- before I head to Denver...

Thanks for your concern!

Though, it will probably be my last pedicure until President Obama's Inauguration in January...

(PS: some of the posters here need to get a life!)

And now, from the folks who brought you "President George W Bush", we present....

The "PUMAS".

and

The "Jaded".

Bah. Fuck you people. You have no one's best interest at heart.

Vote Obama or you are part of the problem.

And Another Thing

It's a beggar's life, said the Queen of Spain

But don't tell it to a poor man

'Cause he's got to kill for every thrill

The best he can

Everywhere around me

I see jealousy and mayhem

Because no men have all their peace of mind

To carry them

Well I don't really care

If it's wrong or if it's right

But until my ship comes in

I'll live night by night

Do you actually think that Barack Obama is going to make a difference? The whole thing is gamed. The whole thing is shit.

Start stocking up on canned goods.

My previous post was aimed right down your throat, loser.

The GOP dream is the dream that will die unless the press keeps it alive

Neither Clinton wants McCain to win because they care about issues like poverty, health care, the environment, and civil rights. They will fall in line, deliver the great speeches both are capable of, and allow Obama and his supporters to continue his dream--that he is the second coming. The press, however may be a problem. Having lied about Democratic candidates for decades (with the help of so-called liberal columnists like Dowd and Rich), they, despite abandoning their first love, McCain, for a younger, prettier love, Obama, may be unable to help themselves and reflexively attack Obama. Democrats need to be ready to keep them honest.

Hey man what gives?

Why so edgy, Obama people?

You don't need votes from us Clinton people, do ye?

Thursday, August 21, 2008 08:23 PM

@lolcait

Yes we do. But you are not a "Clinton Person". A "Clinton Person" is a DEMOCRAT and will vote as such. You are a rabble rousing REPUBLICAN. We do not need your vote.

Thursday, August 21, 2008 08:25 PM

@lolcait

Did you expect that people who don't hold fast to petty political wounds would just cozy up to your ass, pucker up and plant a pouty kiss on your president Hillary posterior? Did you just fall off the turnip truck?
