GOP: Here's to Hillary's big party!

Nothing would delight Republicans more than for the Clintons to upstage Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention.

    @juneausmog missing the point again

    I'm getting the sense that you can't really be bothered to read other people's posts. Are you here to have some limited form of conversation, or just to tell people how it is?

    As I have mentioned before, last year I was watching both Richardson and Biden. I thought Hillary would win and Obama would be crushed. Well, Hillary didn't win and Obama didn't get crushed. Richardson was a big disappointment in the first few debates. Biden had a few of his mouth control moments and never got traction. Biden got his ass handed to him in Iowa as you note. He then went home to the Senate and kept his mouth shut like a good little political soldier. So clearly the calculation to bring Biden on board didn't include the number of people who voted for him.

    As far as supporting Hillary goes, I would vote for her myself in a flash. But she doesn't have my exclusive loyality and neither does the democratic party for that matter. And given the number of posts here over the last few months, various websites and petitions and the coverage by the media that lives for drama, you can't say there hasn't been pressure applied on Obama to make Hillary the VP. I said that yielding to that pressure would be capitulation in the eyes of some.

    What would you call it when you yield to a group that demands and threatens?
