Even before he won in 1992 the right has absolutely been fixated on portraying this family as the devil! I have no sympathy for Hillary holdouts or PUMAS (cough! right wing troll organization! cough!) but even I give the actual Clintons more credit then trying to steal the show. I'm beginning to think this has absolutely nothing to do with Obama and the right is just hoping that they can get in one last shot at the Clintons before they ride away into the sunset. Are they hoping that the DNC will magically change it's mind and put her on the ticket at the last minute? If so, then the right really is as delusional as I thought.
Doesn't anyone think it's odd that in the nearly 20 years this family has been in the spotlight none of these Clinton obsessees has been able to give a clear answer to what it is they have a problem with? GQ had an article a few months back about a group of Hillary haters and even after sitting down and interviewing them the most they could get out of them was the same old "I can see into her soul and it's evil!" shit. Okay, so they hate "liberals" and democrats, but let's be honest, Bill was hardly the most liberal president. If anything he capitulated a hell of a lot more then he should. So what is this really about? Where is this irrational hatred coming from? What is it about this family that stirs up so many negative emotions?
Now we have drama among our own (though it's debatable how many are actual Clinton supporters and aren't just right wing plants trying to stir up trouble) because of the emotions this family stirs up. But at least I don't blame them for most of this (though Hillary still should have seen the train coming sooner then she did IMHO). I hate to say it but I kind of hope they go away just to be rid of the drama. Poor Chelsea better look out if she ever decides to follow in her parents shoes, she may be the next to be called the anti-christ. Though given that the right has never specified why they hate her folks so much, she may not be able to avoid the label no matter what she does.
