@gneubeck
SOOO True. I cant stand Michelle.
I AM NOT A REPUBLICAN. I AM NOT A PARTY INSIDER.
Obama makes me sick because he is dividing the country. I would love to talk about race without being called a racist. I would love to be able to say wild and crazy things without being dismissed as a lunatic. I like to be controversial. What I find offensive is to be dismissed. At least argue with me. At least try to convince me to vote for Obama. I have an open mind and admit when I am wrong. If I could find a single good reason to vote for Obama, I would. But you Obama freaks here do nothing but cement by views of Obama and his supporters.
Obama is lot more dynamic and exciting than Kerry. He is a great speaker and has a specific policy plan. Long time Democrats are more excited about Obama than any candidate since RFK. He certainly will lead us in a better direction than McCain, the professional ex-P.O.w.
The big worry of most Democrats right now is whether Hillary & bill are going to be a pains-in-the butt at the convention. Even women I know who voted for her are very disappointed with her. Read the New York times article on her today. When campaigning for Obama she is still talking about herself. It is always all about Hillary. I was ready to move on until I heard her speech last night.
As far as PUMAs nothing can convince me these people are Democrats. I looked them up in fund raising, and their rhetoric rings of wing-nut. If they really were loyal Democrats, they would not be trying to divide the party.
Hillary LOST because she ran a bad campaign..end of story.
Gallup points out that McCain has more support from Republicans than Obama has from Democrats:
"Although Democrats outnumber Republicans in the electorate, McCain receives the support of a greater share of his party base than does Obama." http://www.gallup.com/poll/109774/Obama-Lags-Democratic-Support.aspx
This is a stunning situation (which should give the Obama campaign serious pause), and it is the reason why Obama is not "blowing McCain out of the water" and why the Hillary supporters are more than pesky flies to be swatted out of the way.
When Obama "clinched" the nomination he made the decision that it was not necessary to address Hillary's supporters' concerns and bring the party together. This is why he is in trouble, and this is why he may ultimately lose.
to come up with extraordinary cogitations like:
"I always think of policy in political campaigns as the reality check, which makes the rhetoric and the good messaging real. And I think the importance of policy is really to bolster and make credible the kind of themes that I think Chris was talking about in terms of what you want to do at your convention. In other words, if you are simply up there saying repeatedly, "Universal healthcare," but you've never had a plan, you can say it until you're blue in the face, and you can have every Madison Avenue genius in the world making ads about it but if there's never been a plan put out there that people who know something about the issue say is somewhat credible, then your messaging is going to be undercut because you have an advertisement without a product." (Emphasis and bolding added, idiocy belongs to author)
Does it actually need pointing out how brainless these people are? Doesn't reading the above make your eyes ache and your brain suffer wrack and ruin? Tears. I shed tears at the sheer vacuity of every word.
What is this thing, this Schaller-led expert panel? And is it possible to stop it?
if she seriously thinks PUMAS are Republicans! I agree with NYdem08 who posted earlier: we are the true base of the Democratic party disgusted by fact that the Dems have been the ones acting like Republicans, corrupting the electoral process and acting like we're spoiling THE ONE's coronation.
Look at the polls as Obama tanks and ask yourself why did the Dem establishment push the most corrupt, inexperienced, flip-floppin' candidate on us? I will never vote for him, partially because I am disgusted by how Pelosi, Brazile and Dean ran the party into the ground.
Anyway, Brazile and Axelrove said they don't need the old Dems so why should you be surprised if they stay home or vote McCain?
And I'm tired of hearing about the Supreme Court. If the Dems in the Senate had done their jobs Alito and Roberts wouldn't be on the court today.
Arianna Huggington once called the Democratic field an "embarassment of riches". Fuck Arianna Huffington. I am a life-long Democrat. I once cared. No more. I will vote for Barack Obama for one reason and one reason only; the Supreme Court. Otherwise he is just another bullshit politician. As for all of you waiting for text messages or wringing your hands feverishly over what might happen next all I can offer is that you might consider dousing yourselves with gasoline and setting yourselves on fire. Go fuck yourselves.
Don't worry you're probably not her type, besides which I hear she has money, so why would she fuck some anonymous on a message board who belongs to a secret tree house called Party Unity My Ass? You tell me.
I have an Uncle in Palatine and lots of friends in Brookfield. Well I used to, two out of three are dead, but this is an election year. Let's not dwell on the negative. I agree with you, it is the Hawks drooling at going Napoleanic against Putin dressing up like Peter the Great. How many times do we have to go down this road? As for my apocalyptic vision I plead guilty. Sec of State Rice-a supposed expert on Eastern European Soviet/Russian machinations ( I do believe she is a PHD in the field) made her ridiculous comments the other day. The next president of the United States-take your pick Obama or McCain-are cock fighting over who has how many houses-and people wonder why I do not give a shit. Ever since George Carlin died I have been revisiting him on You Tube. He uses the phrases "Go fuck yourself", "fuck you", and "bullshit" alot. I truly hope that Barack Obama is everything that everyone wants him to be. I truly hope that John McCain is the maverick who will ride into Dodge and clean up this mess so we can all go to bed most assuredly that our wives are pure, our daughters are not sucking the balls of Lenny Kravitz wannabees and our sons are researching extra-terrestrial bio-dome capabilities and the psycedelic possibilities of ethanol. But there I go again. I just can't help myself. You take care.
Much of the initial coverage about Fort Hood turned out to be wrong. Is there anything wrong with that?
