I am not a "volatile progressive, college kid [or] first time voter... [I am] the BACKBONE of th[e] party." I am a 51 year old woman who voted in her first Presidential election in 1976. And I consider myself just slightly left of center (and the Obama supporters that I know would describe themselves as such). I was also very active in Democratic politics in my late teens in early twenties. It is becaue of the Clintons that I have been completely turned off by the Democrats. Yes, I voted for Bill twice, voted for Gore and voted for Kerry. This year I have been more active then I was even when I was much younger plus I have a lot more money so I've also been able to make a meaningful $ contribution. It is time to fix the Democratics party - kick out hacks like the Clinton's and their cronies.
