The question still remains unanswered, why did he sit in that Temple of Hate for 20 years? When he finally separated himself it was only by his handlers prying his hands off Rev. Wright's Robes.
You say you enjoy hate sermons and other things of a similar nature. Obviously you get some satisfaction from the activity
beyond the intellectual stimulation. Not unlike the guy that goes to strip joints there is satisfaction beyond the level of artistic appreciation. Is it the same satisfying experience for Barack? Do Reverend Wright and Father Pfleger say out loud what is in Barack's heart. Michelle was there more regularly than Barack and she exposed their children to that poison. This trancends "e" mails and poison pen letters, it is far more serious and fundamental, why did he keep going when even his pal Oprah decided to leave because she was uncomfortable with some of the sermons. Too many questions too few answers.
Back in the 1920's and again in 1960, the question was 'can a Catholic be a good American'? John F Kennedy demonstrated to the racist twits out there that they had no cause to fear a takeover of the country by the Pope. [Of course, in 2004, the smear campaign stated that John Kerry was unsuitable to be President because he would not permit a takeover of the country by the Pope]
I intend to vote for Obama in November, there is no other choice. If Obama is not elected, then I will act as though the office of President is vacant.
If McCain should stumble in we should just be stuck with a vacant stare.
Wouldn't THAT be an improvement?
Hysterical much? Maybe you should move to another country before Obama landslides and puts Operation Kill Whitey into effect.
I am a pro-choice Catholic. I volunteer in my church, attend regularly and disagree with maybe 40%-50% of what my church preaches. Why do I stay? I guess the other 60%-50% balances out, plus it is part of my community.
Religion is a complicated issue. Look at Hillary Clinton's affiliation with The Family, filled with right wing hate.
Hillary has called Doug Coe, who preaches sermons glorifying the influence of Communist and Fascist leaders, "a unique presence in Washington: a genuinely loving spiritual mentor and guide to anyone, regardless of party or faith, who wants to deepen his or her relationship with God."
As a supporter of Hillary Clinton, you should first ask that she explain her relationship with Coe and The Family before you go throwing rocks at other's glass houses.
Vashon, why must you always express yourself in such Pat wet his pants fashion?
Hi everyone,
There's a side of my family that's pretty nut-jobby, and every once in a while I'll get some ridiculous emails from my uncle. Often they're harmless enough (if jingoistic and absurdly incorrect or unverifiable) that I can laugh and delete them, but I've also received a couple anti-Obama ones that I just couldn't ignore. It took me only about half an hour to throw together a (hopefully) polite but firm correction with supporting links (which is pretty important for people, like McCain, with minimal internet skills). At that point, all I had to do was hit "Reply All," even though there were some names on that list I didn't know.
In the spirit of all these emails, please feel free to use my response, which I'm pasting below, in any way you feel will help debunk, counter, correct (etc.) this malicious stupidity.
Yours,
Tadpaul

Hi everyone,
I'm actually glad to receive this kind of email if it helps me do my part in dispelling this kind of stuff. Google is a wonderful tool, and all you have to do is type in something like "Obama National Anthem" and you'll find the source of these rumors.
For those who don't know, snopes.com is "the most widely-known
resource for validating or debunking urban legends, Internet rumors, email forwards, and other such stories of uncertain or questionable origin in popular American culture." (Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snopes)
Here's a link to the snopes.com article regarding Obama and the
National Anthem: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/stance.asp
For those who don't want to click through to the snopes page, here's the relevant text from that page:
"While this controversy was all the rage on the Internet, political columnist John Semmens included a bit at the end of one of his satirical "Semi-News" columns [link:
http://azconservative.org/Semmens118.htm] (found on the web site of The Arizona Conservative) offering a mock explanation from the Senator about his non-hand-over-heart stance, poking fun at Obama by having him voice the opinion that 'the American flag is a symbol of oppression' and that the U.S. National Anthem is too 'bellicose' and should be replaced by something gentler like 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing.'
"This bit of satire evidently came off as too believable to some readers, as it has since been excerpted from Semmens' column and forwarded via e-mail (without attribution) as a genuine statement from Senator Obama. However topical it might be, it's just a bit of political commentary-cum-humor, though, not the Senator's own words."
Of course, this is not the only Obama falsehood that has been spread via chain email forwards. For a pretty complete list of these, check out:

Best wishes to all,

Only very ignorant, stupid, racist voters believe this stuff, and they will not vote for Obama anyway. Most of this is racism.
To call into question the premise of Michelle's thesis, which still stands, no matter what Madden or Snopes says, is perfectly legitimate...the fact of the matter is her premise, followed by her attending a church whose ideas very much jibe with the ideas espoused in that thesis, belie any denials on her part that she doesn't believe in a separationist viewpoint of the races. Her behavior at Princeton, well documented by numerous corrobative evidence among interviews with dozens of former classmates, indicates that Ms. Obama tended not to intermingle with white fellow students, certainly something many black students on our nation's campuses do not do, and which certainly was not my experience with African American students on my college's campus, who interacted and engaged with white students and vice versa easily. There is a pattern here of behavior that says more than anything she may claim and anything Obama's supporters may try to claim. As is always the case, Obama's fans toss out the charge of racism when faced with real and firm evidence of problematic behavior on his or Michelle's part. This nonsense must end now. Obama's supporters use the "racism" charge as a cudgel to silence critics...this will not continue.
