    If chain emails are an effective way of getting a negative campaign message out, then Americans are, in general, a nation of utter nincompoops. While I wouldn't argue with anyone else who would make such an observation, I still have to wonder if stupidity is that pervasive in American society. Given that George W. Bush managed to get a second term as President, I would have to say yes, Americans are that stupid. Not just ignorant, which can be remedied with some effort, but stupid.
