in the early l970s. Fanne was a stripper, "The Argentine Firecracker", and seemed more interested in dollar signs than astrological synbols and Wilbur had sought the nomination as the Demcratic candidate in the l972 election. There was an incident with the police when Wilbur and Fanne were enjoying a tete-a-tete in his car, resulting in Fanne plunging into the Washington Tidal Basin. Fortunately,, Fanne emerged, bedraggled to be sure, but she lived to continue with her "artistic" career as "The Tidal Basin Bombsehell".
People in the English-speaking world (and beyond) have been entertained for years by the sexual antics, the ghastly gambolling of American politicians because the American media gets "eating and drinking" out of such thoroughly laughable behaviour on the part of would-be legislators, even would-be Presidents. At least the Fanne and Wilbur story had great comical elements but this Rielle and Edwards tale is just dismal and pathetic. It should be given a rest; it doesn't have the allure of grand passion; the participants are boring mediocrities; there's nothing particularly amusing in their sneaking around..."The Argentinian Firecracker" is so more spirited (if not spiritual) than Ms. Whatsername but I don't know what happened to Wilbur or what will happen to Wilbur mark2, John Edwards.
