Maybe counseling or prescription drugs could help your extreme paranoia.
Well yes probably. I mean let's review the hot button issues:
911 was an inside job
We're bombing Iran tomorrow
It's the Jewluminatti
Gore will win
Kerry will win
Lamont will win
Joe Lieberman is the Jew antichrist
The way our government has deteriorated over the past nearly eight years is so depressing I'm wondering why more people haven't stuck their heads in the oven a la Sylvia Plath. The structure of rights and responsibilities that used to define us has been sat upon and desecrated.
If we ever want to be the United States again, we are going to have to launch an investigation, probably by the Justice Committees of the House and Senate, of what went so tragically wrong. If President Obama doesn't want to have trials of those who committed crimes against the Constitution, we can at least have a kind of Truth and Reconciliation Commission to air what happened so that everyone knows what the rules actually are.
Refusal to appear would not be an "old" crime but rather a new one. Lying to the Commission would be a "new" crime, too and the witnesses could be given the choice of telling the truth under immunity or going to jail for contempt or perjury.
Yeah, right.
What planet are you guys living on? Certainly not the same one shared by the Democratic Party. The only life form here is of the spineless, belly-crawling, legs in the air, please don't hit me variety.
"If President Obama doesn't want to have trials of those who committed crimes against the Constitution, we can at least have a kind of Truth and Reconciliation Commission to air what happened so that everyone knows what the rules actually are."
Maybe we could find some old Nazis to show the Democrats how to set up such a commission.
NOW can we impeach?!?
If Bush or Cheney or Addington don't end up behind bars in the next few years for all of this then our country is fucked beyond repair and the rule of law is nothing more than a joke.
So, the capitalist class and its government, with the agreement of both parties, are conducting extensive spying on Americans and American companies, using the technological means currently available. And that this was initially set up to go after the Soviet Union, the first workers' state, i.e., anti-capitalist economic system - and other liberal-left movements it was supporting (e.g., Sandinistas) - and then was well used by the Clinton Administration in the post-Soviet era, my gosh, the revelations keep coming and coming. I have no doubt that the Bush Administration, with the knowing support and legal and political facilitation by both sides of the aisle in Congress, used 9/11 as a justification to ratchet up the war on Americans (and others). However, this article provides no evidence to that effect. The best we can do is guess that they spread the passwords and terminal access around a bit wider.
Congressional investigation on the order of Watergate?? You've got to be kidding. The hope that Obama, representative of Wall Street, will turn on this operation betrays serious liberal illusions to begin with, and becomes outright delusional after his vote for the telecommunications amnesty (and the rest of the bill to allow continued domestic and foreign spying).
By the way, the so-called big confrontation between Ashcroft et al and the Bush White House was exposed in the past week as total nonsense. Ashcroft admitted that he didn't object to the torture, only the legal justifications being used. Another big surprise.
is it Bush or the witch hunters peeking in all closets? A certan level of security is needed unless we want to have a 7-days-in-May event. Who is really qualified to judge the level of security required? Not me and maybe not you; and not the for-profit NY times, an enemy's best friend. Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer !
I fully expect the Dems to hammer out a compromise on this that absolves everyone of any wrongdoing, so what's the big deal?
So, we're all willing to accept that this neo-con cabal - Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle, Kristol...the PNAC gang...has been willing to wage illegal, aggressive wars based on lies, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousand of Iraqis, tortured terror suspects around the globe, and carried out a MASSIVE spying program against American citizens, with the possible "detention" of people deemed a "threat to national security" in the event of a national emergency. We've witnessed the end of Habeas Corpus with the Military Tribunals Act of 2006, and we're seeing more attacks on the Constitution every week.
We're willing to believe all this of our "leaders"...murder, torture, illegal spying, massive databases of American citizens for potential detention...but questioning any element of the "official 9/11" conspiracy is completely off limits? It's tin-foil hat territory.
Many skeptical commenters have claimed that all the crimes will be covered up because both the Repugs and Dems are complicit because they knew about the crimes and did nothing to stop them. There is another course of action and that is to take our case to the International Criminal Court. Outraged citizens are signing a letter on the blog Humanity Against Crimes to Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the chief prosecutor at the ICC asking that he investigate and charge the Bushevik criminals. You can sign the letter at my sig until Friday.

We have the Department of Defense, the Secret Service, the CIA, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, the Army Defense Intelligence Agency and who knows how many other "departments" and "agencies" withing FOUR -- count 'em -- Four branches of the U.S. Military, and then we have Blackwater ... All brought to us by our so-called elected "representatives."
So why does ANYONE think ANYBODY will actually do ANYTHING about this sort of shit (Congress and The White House running roughshod over people?)
Did we ever really see them do ANYTHING about the CIA drug-running? About the money-laundering by Riggs Bank?(*) The CIA run on the bank in Australia? About the arms for hostages deal that also involved Bush NO. 1 working with -- lets be blunt and honest here -- Traitors to make sure the Iranian hostages were released AFTER Carter was defeated. Now comes the post-Enron, post S&L crisis sub-prime shadow investment banking meltdown ...
Congress (and the big money that controls it) IS the problem. These people, for the most part, don't care about us. Every once and a while, the man behind the curtain is revealed, as witnessed by former Sen. Phil "Forclosure" Gram (who sits fat and pretty with a U.S. Government Pension and all the bennies that come with it, and his Swiss Bank Salary) telling Americans their VERY REAL economic meltdown plight is just mental.
Wake me up when the Democrats -- they ARE in charge of Congress now, right -- actually do something, like closing the "Enron" secret casino banking loophole that Mr. Gram and his wife gave us -- along with the mortgage meltdown mess?
Time for some mandatory Town Hall meetings where these fuckers are chained to a chair and forced to answer some hard questions, starting with the IOUSA $9 Trillion+ national debt.
I rant ... But really?
Much of the initial coverage about Fort Hood turned out to be wrong. Is there anything wrong with that?
The accountability imposed by another country for the CIA's kidnapping and torture reveals much about our own.
