    A simple choice. There are candidates for President who will pursue Progressive policies on civil rights and executive power, and apparently Barack Obama isn't one of them.

    @elefemman

    when someone like elephantman sings the praise of Nader, i seriously reconsider the spoiler nametag, a nametag I have vehemently denied. the more republicans i see endorsing Nader, the more likely I am to vote Obama.

    Of course, it may be the only strategy they have to beet Obama that will work... and why is that? Why would that strategy work?

    I didn't endorse Nader. Or McKinney. But I challenged all of you to do that. For the simple reason that they represent your views far more closely than The Obama Show. And particularly when all of you complain that Congressional Dems are way too compromising. I just think that if Obama has abandoned your Progressive cause (he clearly has, unless you think that someday he really will do as you hope, and right now he is just lying through his teeth for purposes of the general election), you should support candidates who do care about your cause and reflect your views in their policies.
