It's what Obama is doing right now!
Barack Obama is a Christian.
Barack Obama is a Christian.
Can we just see that in print please?
According to Wikipedia, Halaal food is restricted to being anything that is not:
Pork meat (i.e. flesh of swine)[Qur'an 2:173]Blood[Qur'an 2:173]
Animals slaughtered in the name of anyone but Allah (God) (there are debates regarding the permissibility of meat slaughtered by Jews, i.e., kosher meat).[Qur'an 2:173]
Carrion[Qur'an 5:3]
"Fanged beasts of prey" as per the Sunnah, usually simplified to all carnivorous animals, with the exception of most fish and sea animals[citation needed]
Anything not on that list is perfectly permissable.
Obama has been known to eat pork. Specifically he has been witnessed eating pork sausages.
There would be no requirement for him to eat sausages in order to hide his religion - he could order a rump steak and eat it with a soured cream sauce and most Americans would assume that he is proving that he isn't a Muslim, because a lot of Americans don't know the difference between Kosher and Halaal.
He is no stealth Muslim. If he was anything he would be a stealth atheist - but then, that is just wishful thinking on my part.
This article was pretty lame, but it really brought the morons out of the wood work, didn't it? We've got Republican trolls, Hillary haters, supposed Hillary to McCain flippers and racists (I'm including those who are uneducated enough to believe that someone's religion matters more than their stands on issues).
Fun!
You'd all make horrible scientists. You decide what you want to believe and then cherry pick, massage and bend data to fit your conclusions.
Secular matters are far more relevant to Obama's political career than any of this will-o'-the wisp stuff. I've seen several snide comments about McCain's first marriage (who's business is it anyway except the people involved?) and subsequently learned that, when Barack Obama was seeking a position in the Illinois Senate, two of his rivals had their divorce papers unsealed by judges. One of these rivals was Blair Hull and the other was Jack Ryan. The personal details of their failed marriages were not pretty and both men withdrew from politics. Alice Palmer was ambushed when she changed her mind and ran for the Senate once again
It all began in Chicago and is being master-minded from there.
The people behind all this hocus-pocus about "smears" are no dummies but incredibly ruthless, and yes, clever operatives.
"whose business".
there is little (if any) doubt in my mind that Obama is Muslim. I think Obama is the ultimate terrorist plot! Financed by Bin Laden himself to run for and secure the office of Dictator ahem, I mean President. Its the perfect plot!

If you honestly believe that, please give your parents a message from me:
Would you kindly stop pissing in the gene pool.
Here in the midwest, it's rampant. I know lots of otherwise intelligent, rational people who fall for this crap hook, line and sinker. A handful watch too many movies, a handful are closet conspiracy theorists, a handful work too hard to pay attention to anything but the loudest and most outrageous soundbites. Some folk, like my otherwise adorable mother, just don't trust anything that's different than the relatively sheltered world they've built for themselves.
It's hard to be a responsible voter. To be truly informed about any candidate takes a great deal of time, energy and research. When Joe and Jane Public are trying to pay the mortgage and get the kids to soccer, there's not a lot of time to sit down and really follow what our government does. It takes a concerted effort even to fact check SOME of the information that is streamed at us from every direction. I think it's irresponsible (and more than a little judgmental) to write off people who believe the BS as "stupid." Trying to out shout the red noise with blue noise just makes more noise.
I think the people in this thread who spoke of replying to the smearmails with facts have the right idea. Hand-wringing, name calling and pissing contests make all of us look like assholes.
That just shows how crafty he really is! He covers his tracks even when its probably not necessary!
He's doing that in order to hide his true Muslim faith, so he can infiltrate weak minds like yourself. Oh yes, just wait until you get dhimmi status. Then you won' be so sure about Mullah Al-Barack Hussein Obama
Because it seems like they have poured a lot of money into creating malicious lies like the one with the actress playing a mother holding a baby (or a doll?), and saying that John McCain wants her baby for his 100-year war in Iraq.
It's really hard to draft a political ad that contains almost as many lies and untruths as it does words, but apparently, with hard work and lots of spending, the Democrats have managed it.
"Make it a hundred...That would be fine with me." -to a questioner who asked if he supported President Bush's vision for keeping U.S. troops in Iraq for 50 yearshttp://politicalhumor.about.com/od/johnmccain/a/mccainisms.htm
There is a difference between using McCain's statements against him, and outright making shit up.
But then, I suppose you are a Republican and well, to you the truth is relative isn't it?
Hi, "M.O.D."
I like reading your comments (not always agreeing 100%) but always getting good, competent, reasoned commentary; so I hope you don't mind if I hi-jack your post, and add some of my own thoughts to it.
Its no big secret that during the Dem. Primary Campaign, I preferred Sen. Clinton. Now that that avenue is closed to me, I went from being a Hillary supporter to a Democratic supporter. I’m like many, if not most, prior Clinton supporters who always knew I’d support the Democratic nominee. But I also, like most,I presume, don’t like people shoving it in my face and yelling “hurry up.” Everyone has a different level of enthusiasm for their particular Candidate, but it shouldn’t be a requirement that we dunk our heads in the Obama River and publicly proclaim, “I’m Saved!” He’s got my vote, and that’s that.
Issue #2.…..Wipe out the rumors, once and for all. Are all these posters here serious when they mockingly deride and slur those that don’t “go to the Web-Site” for clarification of Sen. Obama’s positions? Isn’t that what this long, long campaign is all about? Have we come to the ultimate point of adulation for our candidate that his/her “word” is all that’s required on important, substantive questions? I don’t recall too many Obama supporters having said, after a Hillary speech or comment, “ Yup, that’s it; if She said it, its Gospel, no confirmation needed.”
Hell, in New York City, every bar/nightclub has a big sign at the entrance, “We Proof….No Exceptions!“ And they mean it. How much easier for all concerned that they “proof” everyone, 80 year olds, and those barely out of puberty.
I don’t think, in a post 9-11 world, and after a very competitive primary, with tons and tons of smears and garbage still waiting ahead, that its too much to ask the candidate to “proof it” and get on with it.
I sat in my office on the South side of the East River (in Queens), directly across from Manhattan, and watched with my own eyes, in real time, on the morning of Sept. 11, both buildings fall.
Lets just grow up, do what you have to do, and move on.
Why is it even an issue?
