"He put in his thumb and pulled out a plum and said 'What a good boy am I'"

Secular matters are far more relevant to Obama's political career than any of this will-o'-the wisp stuff. I've seen several snide comments about McCain's first marriage (who's business is it anyway except the people involved?) and subsequently learned that, when Barack Obama was seeking a position in the Illinois Senate, two of his rivals had their divorce papers unsealed by judges. One of these rivals was Blair Hull and the other was Jack Ryan. The personal details of their failed marriages were not pretty and both men withdrew from politics. Alice Palmer was ambushed when she changed her mind and ran for the Senate once again

It all began in Chicago and is being master-minded from there.

The people behind all this hocus-pocus about "smears" are no dummies but incredibly ruthless, and yes, clever operatives.
