    I'M NOT SURE THERE IS AN EFFECTIVE WAY TO BATTLE THIS

    People forward the crap on because they want to believe it's true. More than once after replied with an email with the facts, I have been told they will not consider others sources of information. The internet and email dumbs down a portion of the population, as it enlightens and educates another portion of the population. If radio and TV are an example, it may all be down hill for the quality of content available.
