    Religion is not a genetically inherited trait

    Many of our fellow humans are Muslim and that's okay.

    Barack Obama may have Muslim ancestors and a name with Islamic roots. This does not make one inherently Muslim, since religion is a culturally-guided choice (i.e., he's not "hiding his innate Islamicness").

    For the record, Obama is not "formerly Muslim" or "hiding his religion". He proudly discusses his Christian religion. So if you self-identify as Christian and are concerned about such things, don't worry, Barack Obama is LIKE YOU.
