"yes he's interested because it's a powerful position, not because it entails hard work and dedication."
On what grounds to you base this assertion? Did Rush send you a deck of Republican talking-point flash-cards?
One of the CNN pundits last night mentioned that Republicans tend to nominate presidential candidates when it is their "turn." Is this what you're upset about? - That it just isn't Obama's turn yet?
"Hillary at least has shown us she's a hard worker and has actually worked for the betterment of many people and she's been around long enough to know what it takes to be president and she ACTUALLY proves it with her comprehensive plan (though y'all will dismiss it no doubt). Yet she's criticized of being evil, ambitious, etc..."
If we were electing a Health Care Czar, she might well have my vote. The presidency is far more complex than that. Obama was smart enough to know that the Iraq invasion would be a disaster and he had the character to vote that way. This is a key area where Clinton failed for many people. I also find it odd that you lament the fact that some people criticize Hillary as being ambitious while you criticize Obama for being ambitious. What's up with that.
"How can you trust that this guy is not just interested in the power, instead of serving and working for the people?"
You could ask the very same question of anybody running for public office.

(Joan Walsh: Please note I did not take the liberty of calling her by her first name.) Hillary Clinton obviously has lost the abillity to experience shame, as well as the ability to perceive objective truth, the right to call herself a Democrat, and the "right" to respectful treatment. She deliberately directed her campaign to the racial bias and prejudice of voters. Her campaign strategy was unsuccessful; so, she twisted the facts underlying the Michigan and Florida vote results in order to lay claim to a popular vote victory. Her claim that she is the only voice of those who voted for her is insulting. Those who voted for her were voting for a DEMOCRAT to be a presidential candidate. If Obama is so weak that he cannot withstand the pressure to put Mrs. Clinton on the ticket as his vice president, then I must reevaluate my decision to vote for a DEMOCRAT in November. The Clintons (i.e., both Mr. and Mrs. Clinton) are most closely associated with avarice, greed, lying and a monomaniacal pursuit of their own self-interests. Haven't we had enough of these characteristics in our leaders?
Don't bother with Indigo. I've stuck my head in on this thread all day and she (per usual) is here to rant, not debate. He/She isn't interested in us. Just spewing crap.
Did you see Clinton speaking last night? I was really impressed. She's come a long way since she first started her own spin in the political game. She and Obama were both amazingly eloquent and gracious. I can already see them focussing on McCain.
Woo-hoo!
the meme was O was unpolitical, squeaky clean, ethical, etc...while HRC is the exact opposite.
We now all know he's just as political as she is.
At least we NEVER claimed Hillary wasn't interested in power the way you guys did all along.
O wouldn't have been where he is if he was so clean and we all know that (Rezko anyone?). Spare me.
He's full of shit, that's what he is.
How can you trust that this guy is not just interested in the power, instead of serving and working for the people?

Easily. Obama served the people with his actions as a community organizer in Chicago when he could have had HRC's career as a lawyer and a Walmart board member. For most of his adult life he has been working side by side serving the people.
I didn't know there was a time limit on how long you have to wait to run for President. You sound like Bill when he said obama "should wait his turn", like they have a monopoly on who can run and when they can do so.
It is understandable to be upset that your candidate lost but don't be a sore loser. You make things worse for her VP nom....which I hope Obama doesn't give her.
I know what affirmative action is since I have a degree in critical race theory. I have a better understanding of it than someone like you who needs to Google it.
You are anti-black. And, please, try to refrain from being so nasty.
See what this leads him to...

I implore you not to engage further with a certain individual. I did not check out the URL directed at you, but I urge you not to bother with that either - I shudder to think what may be at the other end of that link.
But I can only hold back so long when confronted with blatant bigotry.
And yes, Hillary was impressive last night. At least for most of her speech. She always loses me with her maneuvering.
Generally, I am always pleasantly surprised by Hillary.
I hope Obama and Clinton can kiss and make up.
I won't.
I shudder as well.
I am anti you. I am anti sweeping generalization devoid of any common sense that people like you represent.
Go to school some more and really learn this time so you can respond to me how a black man who says Obama is an affirmative action candidate is anti-black???
You are not making any sense but you can talk to yourself. Buh-bye.
Re: "Easily. Obama served the people with his actions as a community organizer in Chicago when he could have had HRC's career as a lawyer and a Walmart board member."
Oh spare me. Obama wasn't a community organizer that long. Out of law school Hillary worked as a staff lawyer on one of the Watergate committees and for the Children's Defense Fund.
When Bill Clinton became the Governor of Arkansas, Hillary took a job at the Rose Law firm because she had to earn a living for her family. And so what if she was on the board of wal-mart? Back then, it wasn't the multi-national company it is today.
In your mind, anybody who has a real job, who actually uses her law degree is evil. When Bill and Hillary arrived in Washington in 1992, they weren't millionaires like the Obamas.
