No matter what Obama does, he should know this:
Having BILLARY Clinton as vice president would be the equivalent of having a spitting Cobra as a room mate. You CANNOT control its NATURAL HABIT of spitting and biting. Either way, you get POISON in your blood circulatory system!

Hillary was much farther away in pledged delegates than Obama. The reason Super delegates came about in the Democratic party was to avoid going to the conventions.
Obama won twice as many states, won the popular vote, and had a more pledged delegates than Hillary. He ran a terrific, well organized, grass roots campaign.
It's over, even tough Hillary is avoiding reality. She needs to concede, step aside, and get out of the spot light. She is being very selfish.
Sorry – I should have used a different term than “neocon” in my post – I was only referring to the current crop who got us into our current mess – perhaps “facilitated the Republican revolution” would have been a better way of making my point. The fact remains that Clinton and the DLC moved the party away from not just the center, but to the right – a strategy that ultimately failed.
Regarding your question – “How do you expect to win enough power to implement the revolution without our votes? – it seems clear to me that many Hillary supporters simply have no intention of supporting Obama or the new direction of the Democratic Party no matter what, so I guess (sadly) we’re going to have to do without your votes and hope for the best. Maybe I’m wrong. I hope so – it seems like we have an opportunity to do something great for this country, but I guess that can’t ultimately happen until we put all the bitterness aside and start working together.
It's going to take a miracle to get my vote, but there are some who will be convinced if he actually makes an effort to reach them. Praising Clinton last night was a good start, but it isn't enough to give token respect to an opponent you have been lying about for months.
The problem Jeb, is that you folks never actually come right out and state what it is Obama needs to do to win you back into the fold. Which signals to me that you're not really interested in a show of respect. What you want is to make Obama and his supporters jump through flaming hoops - no thanks.
The Hillary supporters who are truly drawn to her policies and platform will make a pragmatic decision to support the candidate whose policies are closest to hers. There is no question that's Obama. The Clinton supporters who feel so burned by losing a tough-but-fair campaign that they can't concede defeat and try to blackmail the party are already gone. Attempts to woo them are as pointless as their idle threats.
And I thought Obama supporters were "cultists" ...
He needs to have Hellory exorcized. Better yet, have her burned at the stake.
HAving said that, Obama made a request to peoplelike me last night, after graciously winning last night. He made a call for me (those like me)to stand down. How does that work? Clinoton and her gop bobbleheads declared war on obama his supporters ANd the democratic party. the gop declared war on america and the democratic party long before obama was on the national scene. The gop, clinton included, declared war on us. How can WE declare a cease fire? It must be recipracated, and I don't see it.
Having said that I will stand down. i hope Sen. obama knows what he's doing. Hopefully he is not castrating his movment.Somebody's got to fight the propogandists who mislead the elderly for power or profit and do not believe anything they say. But I do it not out of respect to clinton or her republcain sell-out bobble heads. It is not out of fear of the fascist gop. I will stand down out of respect for obama and his message. for now. I reserve the right to resume if the other side never recipracates. Which should be in months if not weeks. Eventually somebody's got to fight the gate keepers.
Peace and good luck salon regulars. Sorry to those I offened or hurt yoru precious feelings. and to joan. I just think you people realize the severity of the vote this year.
LOL....
And you thinks she is a first lady material. Dream on....
Obama's surrogates and supporters still foolishly think that Hillary actually covets VP position and prefers her not to be on the ticket!! How deluded!!
So much disrespect of her and her supporters.
He needs her BIG TIME, with her he's got a good shot, without her, FORGET ABOUT IT! Mc Cain will kick her ass.
Many of Hillary's supporters prefer that he fights for "change" and "hope" and "unity" with his own merits. See how far his borrowed speech can take him lol.... Many of them won't vote for BO even when she or Jesus is on the ticket!
"i TOLD YOU. I told you clinton was no longer a republican and was going to run as mccain's vp. "
A democrat, rather
Peace out salon readers. Don't hurt any peaceful patriotic americans
Give me a break, please.
Clinton sounds like some pampered overpaid athlete whose just been beaten but won't acknowledge the score. Respect is achieved by acting respectably, not by demanding it like some child having a tantrum.
Jeffrey Toobin rightly calls it what it is: "Deranged narcissism." And whatever else you might say about it, Clinton's obstinate refusal to concede the race last night was classless.
Reminds me a lot of her refusal to concede the point about her Iraq War vote, and it speaks volumes about how she would act as president, and why I'm so glad Obama's the nominee.
