The emotional hole that can never be filled

So what kind of "respect" are we talking about?

Would welcoming the Clinton supporters into the fight to retake the White House be enough? Didn't think so.

"Respect" is another way for Clinton to say that she'll keep moving the goalposts because no matter how far you move them the drama just never seems to end. I am sure that many people have been in this relationship before.

So how does Obama earn the respect? Give Clinton the Secretary of State? Give H. Clinton the VP? Step aside and give her the Presidency? Her list of demands is vague enough not to be pinned down, and then there's the problem when Obama doesn't smile right or scratches his nose or says something condescending like she's likeable enough or whatever. Clinton's minions and the reliable sources between her and the MSM are going to float all sorts of contradictory demands and grievances.

Use a little class analysis to get past all this posturing.
