Viva Hillary Clinton! Although she won Puerto Rico easily, Clinton seemed to be campaigning in an alternate reality, as hopes for the nomination slipped away.

  • Racist trash

The anti-Obama folks are just racist trash.

At least once Shawn has said "They don't call it the White House for nothing." He is nothing but a racist piece of shit.

Why do you say that kind of thing, Shawn? What kind of a piece shit would even THINK that?

  • There is an alternate reality at TalkLeft too

HRC and her intransigent supporters aren't the only ones living in alternate reality. The lawyers (and self-styled pundits) at TalkLeft.com have invented a quasi-legal theory, according to which the DNC Rules and ByLaws Committee broke its own rules, and according to which HRC is winning in the popular vote. The mathematics requires counting Michigan for HRC only.

  • Good God !

Can we stop the pretending? Can we finally unify, except the inevitable, and for Chrsit's sake join forces and create a Democratic team the will propel us into a new era of change and history?

Hillary knew a while ago that her winning the nomination was at best, a long shot. It's time to own up, do what's right AND in the best interest of the country and have an Obama/Clinton ticket for November.

    Just do it, already.... sheesh!

  • Every problem of Obama's has been caused by Hillary

Hillary's supporters blame Obama for this, that and the other.

Each problem that he has is due to the false accusations of HIllary and her Hot-Flash Amazon Bitches.

You folks lost. Now sit down and shut up.

  • Some days it seems like everyone who posts here is crazy...

The Obama vs. Hillary articles always seem to bring them out in force. Setting aside the deranged Republican trolls, I find myself dumbfounded by most hard core supporters of either candidate. The fatalistic rage filled pronouncements of the Clintonites and the gleeful misogyny of (some) Obama supporters makes me think more and more that anyone with a strong bias in favor of one of the candidates should automatically be disqualified from expressing their opinion or having it taken seriously.

  • Why am I defending Michelle?

How did it come to this?

But anyway...this talk about Michelle Obama being racist defies logic.

    She's such a racist she marries someone who's half-white????

What is it with the thought process that anyone who has any type of criticism is un-American, therefore, they must be racist? The thought process is racist in itself because it equates being American with being white.

Some of you may say..."I never said she was un-American." But it's all in the subtext.

  • Re: Mattcable

My sentiments exactly. It is depressing to read the commments that have been posted, devoid as they are of any meaningful content beyond an inability to contemplate any view deviating from one's one. It's staggering that of 6 pages of comments, probably 7 pages are taken up with nonsensical rants. I rarely read the comments pages on this site and, having given it a go today, I doubt I will be inclined to again any time soon.

  • All Hillary Supporters will go with McSame

I don't think so. They're just mad and say that now. At the end of the day they will vote democrat, like they always have. If in the remote event that it turns out to be true, then they will get the government they deserve!

  • Creepy...

"Puerto Ricans, this is your next and certain president!" the loudspeakers insisted, as if repeating it often enough -- and loudly enough -- might make it true. "This is the president for all Puerto Ricans!"

  • Col Sanders

You see there's this thing called democracy: it means that people can say things you don't agree with and vote for people you don't want them to vote for and you can't (as another delusional person seems to think they have the power to do) have them thrown out of their jobs -poor Joan Walsh- or taken out behind a warehouse and shot. Not unless you're in the CIA,that is. Joan Walsh and any other person can say and think and write what they want. It seems that some other people think being a white man is a crime against humanity or cause to hide your identity in case you're outed. I really would think that the Democrats would say re Clinton, 'Here's a woman with the intelligence and the experience and the voter base that makes us a shoo in when the general election rolls around.' But no. That's too reasonable. Too logical. Instead they decide to go for the outside chance:so much more exciting! The fact that the Democratic party, like all political parties, is full of sexists -of both sexes- doesn't help. Like that woman who asked McCain, 'How do we stop the bitch?' I've seen it all before. In politics the ceiling is not a glass ceiling but a stainless steel one, with a concrete layer behind that, just in case some of the bitches actually get their hands on real power. God, they might even change things! People like Sanders are posted behind the concrete with an M-16 to pick those uppity cows off before they can do any harm to decent God fearing men and the marvellous, just society they've created. Men who know that a woman's place is prone and in the wrong, not in the White House.

  • @Patrickvashon

"We Democrats are a laughing stock to the rest of the world."

Actually, no. The process may be bewildering, but if it results in an Obama nomination, the rest of the world (to which I belong) is definitely not laughing. It would be hard to exaggerate the hopes that the world (and not just the Gaza strip) is putting in the Obama candidacy. In France where I live Obama has the preference of 2/3 of people, and that's despite Hillary's enormous name recognition advantage and the enduring popularity of her husband.

Rather than laugh, we are left wondering why our own nomination systems are incapable of selecting candidates who are not just competent, but also inspirational.

  • Interesting !!!!

This creature ran a racist, dishonest, disingenuous, financially incompetent campaign and she still LOST. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING TO WATCH HER AND HER DESPERATE CAMPAIGN IMPLODE !!!!!

  • NIce to see someone at salon can recognize reality re Hillary

Still, what in the hell is she doing? Obama is such a good candidate and she has hurt him big time. Any sane, thinking person can see his abilities and honest intentions regarding the welare of the people.

Hillary worsened the divide between black and brown voters. Between older white female voters and "working white southern voters" and Obama. They are very mad at Obama and for no reason exceept Hillary and Bill worked them up.

And knowing she uses unsavory thugs like Mark Penn and Harold Ickes shows her true colors. She has lost the black voters, and thinking honest liberals forever, with her scorched earth (Nancy Pelosi), nonsensical behavior . We do not need another crazy, stupid person, running this country. And she and Bill just lost 30 years of good will with the black and liberal community for no reason I can see.

Obama beat clinton because he is more honest, eloquent and out manuvered her. Give me Obama's advisors like Tom Dashel and his campaign advisor and other supporters, over Hillary's, any day of the year.

It will be interesting to see how Joan Walsh writes about Obama when he gets the nomination. She has burned some pretty big bridges herself.
