Viva Hillary Clinton! Although she won Puerto Rico easily, Clinton seemed to be campaigning in an alternate reality, as hopes for the nomination slipped away.

  • You GO Jonathan that will do it.

Calling everyone a homophobe is at least as effective as calling them all racists. Then again there ARE millions of Americans who geuninely believe homosexuality is a sin - and they vote.

Incidentally "Mexicans" as you call them, don't mind McCain a bit. They like him. McCain was the one who DID try to get Bush's immigration passed.

See the Republicans were sure to give THEIR nomination to someone electable their nomination.

But you have nothing to worry about I'm sure. As the Nobama paragons of intellectual greatness have noted, Karl Rove is an irrelevant has-been in history's trashbin.

  • Shawn

One last thing, your hatred and misogyny when it comes to Barack Obama's wife (who is not running for anything) is worse than anything that anyone has ever posted about Hillary here.

BTW, I live in NYC and have met both Senator Clinton and her husband on numerous occasions. The Secret Service wouldn't let some drooling, insane, racist tool like you within 100 yards of either of them.

  • @Orion101

well, yeah, then there's the fact that obama's legacy is an entire internet of blogs accusing the Clintons and their supporters of everything from racism to being responsible for his bed-wetting and every other message is foaming at the mouth with hate and vitriol.

And btw, you just shoved a candidate on us, not through democracy, but through race-baiting and skewed caucuses in red states and in voter disenfranchisement.

So maybe nobody cares what you think.

  • Little Green Footballs couldn't make worse reading...

than the barrel of crabs in this particular letters column.

  • Sorry BobBob ,nobody made Michelle PottyMouth rant on tape.

Michelle "Proud to be American for the first time in her life" eagerly went on the campaign trail, ranted on tape about whitey and whatever else was expedient at the time, willingly making herself an issue. Tsk Tsk.

Next time scratch the veneer before you bet all your cards on a candidate with more skeletons than a Chicago graveyard.

Btw, please BobBob, put your next piece of WallStreet Executive profanity and vulgar slurs right here:

I'm done. Racist trash like you are not worth my time. Wallow in your racism and bigotry. Embrace being a GOP troll by people who use you and despise you and laugh at how they can manipulate you.

I know some very wealthy Republicans and they do laugh at the troglodyte foot soldiers that are so easy to manipulate with a gay marriage amendment here and "he isn't wearing a flag pin" there. These people disgust me, but a lot less than those like you as they actually benefit from the horrible Bush policies.

Goes for you as well Kimbah, assuming you and Shawn are two different people. KatTex and locait as well.

  • Just read their posting history...

None of these trolls are here for any reason other than to attack Obama. They are either bought and paid for or are seriously unhinged. Read the posting history, if they started their off account out by for attacking Obama (and invariably that is all they do), they deserve only to be ignored. Why feed em? They are not part of the Salon community and really are only here because people take them seriously.

READ POSTING HISTORIES. LOOK AT THE BEGINNINGS. IGNORE THE TROLLS.

  • @orion - yo ho ho

Let's UNITE behind a candidate before it is too late!

Sorry, but the HMS Too Much Freight has already sailed. And sunk. Rats.

  • For me the goal at the very beginning

was to stop Hillary Clinton from being President.

I was prepared for a McCain presidency, so long as it meant that Hillary Clinton would not be elected.

Now I'd rather Obama win than McCain, but again as long as Hillary is out of it all the better.

I was concerned that if Obama lost in November, she could come back in 4 years. But as much as her supporters want to pretend it isn't going to happen, should Obama lose the white vote and/or the female vote, an overwhelming majority of Democrats will lay a big steaming pile of the blame on the Clintons. I don't care if you think its warranted or not, she's getting enough of the blame to doom her presidential aspirations forever. And that's good enough for me.

As for McCain, here's a little storm on the horizon. Two of his top economic advisors will very soon be investigated for energy price fixing. This Obama guy must have an angel on his shoulder.

Every single opponent he comes up against mortally wounds themselves.

The prize is already won. The election is over; Hillary wil NOT be President.

Conservatives say their election was lost the moment Romney dropped out. In this election, there is no conservative running for President. McCain came to Senate Democrats on bended knee begging to be part of the Democratic caucus after his loss to Bush. He asked to be considered for Kerry's running mate. If your a left-of-center non-partisan, the race is already over my friends. Obama or McCain, the Reagan Revolution is dead.

And the Clintons are gone as well. Win lose or draw, America is far better off.

  • Illinois Obama and The Temple Of Hate

Reading the letters on the above article I see Barrack has succeeded in making the Democrats a deeply divided party. The Congregation he was so actively involved with spew anti white and anti American sentiment with a rabid fervor that would do a lynch mob proud. His very presence in the congregation validates the charge that underneath the genial facade he hates whites and this Country. As for his "letter of resignation" his pastor Rev Wright told us all we need to know about that, "he just doin what Politicians do". It isn't about one or two sermons it is about an adult lifetime of willing active financial and personal support. He has made a joke of the Democratic Nominating process and We Democrats are a laughing stock to the rest of the world.

  • Whoa!

What happened to the Salon comments section? Most of the comments I read on here are thoughtful and interesting, but this article -- which seems fine to me -- has brought a bunch of jerks and copy-paste yutzes out of the woodwork. Couldn't you folks go fight elsewhere?

  • ...Yeah

Salon, this has really got to stop. The comment sections are either good or completely unreadable, depending on whether five or six certain commentators show up. If you can manage to spend the time deleting Shawn's more horrifically offensive posts, then can you can certainly block him. So do it, please.
