Hillary and Bill did NOT actively campaign for Al Gore in 2000, but instead put their efforts into her Senatorial campaign. Hillary went so far as to attend Gore 2000 fundraisers and solicit funds from campaign donors, right in front of Tipper!

Could it be that they were thinking that if Gore lost, Hillary would be all set for a Presidential run in 2004 or 2008?
I, for one, would not count on anything but the most mealy-mouthed, backhanded support from Hillary for the Democratic nominee - unless, of course, she manages to capture the nomination for herself.
She's not a Democrat. She's a Hillaryite. And I am horrified that the same seems to be true of so many of her supporters.
