Roe v. Wade cannot be used as a threat to most Democratic women. If you have not noticed, it is damn hard for anyone but rich women or women dating rich men to get abortions these days. Thank you FUCKING ASSHOLE CLARENCE THE IDIOT THOMAS.
That being said, the abortion issue is radically different than it was even 20 years ago. We have many more doctors--esp. female doctors--willing to provide abortions notwithstanding laws to the contrary. Furthermore, rich women will ALWAYS be able to buy this service.
Finally, there are a lot more things women are concerned about namely surviving. Obama is a threat on every level and McCain looks like my best friend comparatively. MOST of you idiots do not even know who Obama is and you are defending him--if you are not black, white and truly rich, or related to him you are such a fool that it is totally incomprehensible.
Lastly, but not leastly, you have pissed us off. MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF US. And I wouldn't vote for Obama Osama wish I could kick your Mama if you cut off my hand...it wouldn't go there.
And nearly half of all Americans believe that the Earth is younger than 7000 years old.
Far be it for me to suggest a connection.
The anti-Obama propagandists here aren't representative of the vast majority of Clinton Supporters.
You are dead wrong. There are messages all over the Internet from Clinton supporters who are seeing purple. Even red. And for very good reason.
Are Obama supporters so flipping myopic they can't begin to see that their cause has gone terribly wrong in doing just about everything possible to deeply alienate the Clinton opposition over the past months? Is the supply of hubris in the universe that unlimited? Do you really believe those voter polls in Indiana were fabricated?
And that's why Clinton will be the VP.
By the way, if you are a big fan of indiana polls. 9% of Clinton's votes were from republicans who hate her but voted for her because they were told to. You weren't counting on snagging them in november were you?
And if Clinton really is the greatest politician in american history (who said that? texas girl/katetx?) one would think she could have turned her pre-primary inevitablility into a candidacy, don't you think? She seems to have lost....
First, the race isn't over. Second, a race is not a true race when it is fixed. She has done an amazing job considering everything, and she IS IN IT TO WIN IT!
Finally, the only loser here is Obama, his supporters, those of us traumatized by the knowledge of knowing, and the world if for any reason Obama has access to any amount of power.
You aren't for anything are you? Like a spoiled child, you only respond to what you don't like. Issues, other than that one special interest that you and Shawn have in common, are completely irrelevant. What you don't realize is that McCain can't help you with that, he is too feeble-minded and uninformed. Clinton can't either, because she didn't win the nomination, so your only hope is the man you are vilifying. Have a little faith.
McCain just voted against the fair pay act. If you vote for McCain, or do not support the Democratic nominee, then your idelogical sister is Phylis Shafley.
And yea, I have been a victim of pay discrimination. Good job, sister Tex. Phylis would be so proud of you.
McCain will probably bomb Iran. He sang a song about it, I am sure you know how it goes. He also managed to insult Russia. Good job, Johnny boy!
Cindys money comes directly form the Las Vegas Mafia. Her father worked for Kemper Marley and Hensley did some jail time and was rewarded with the beer distributorship. A Phoenix reporter was killed by a car bomb investigating Marley. McCains start in politics was financed by mafia money.
He has 59 lobbyists working for his campaign. If you dont think he is a fascist, think again.
In this reality based community Hillary supporters, you have four choices:
the Democrat (chance for positive change)
the Republican (expansion of the neo con agenda, shrinking of the middle class)
throw your vote away on a third party candidate.
stay home and let the Republicans win.
I know it sucks, but that is America in 2008.
That's the perfect solution, Econ and everyone else who suggested it. Let them have their delegates but not supers.
The Hillary supporters have been nothing if not tenacious. Definitely respect your ability as fighters. I'm hoping this thing is drawing to an end but, as you all know, still remain on guard. We also disagree about Senator Obama's chances come fall. Realize they're a chance, but still think you're all underestimating the anti-G.O.P. feeling in this country and the real strides we have made in this country.
Obama 08! Looking forward to ending this thing in the next month or so and moving forward with Obama as our nominee.
There might be millions of commnets on the internet but they were all written by a relatively small group of people trying to promote their special interest. The irony is that Obama is the only politician in America who can help them. McCain can't do it because he's too stupid. Clinton can't help them because she lost the primary.
Stop making sense!
You are presenting yourself as something you are not. Tell us the real reason that is driving you on this thread. You hate Obama with a passion, but I don't believe it's because you are a racist. Tell us what that special interest is that you hold so dear, you are willing to betray our troops, our solvency, our national honor, and our children's future.
Phylis Shafley would call you her sister.
You are dead wrong. There are messages all over the Internet from Clinton supporters who are seeing purple. Even red. And for very good reason.
I know plenty of Clinton supporters in real life. I don't know about Indiana - when's the last time they voted for the Democrat for president? I also wonder how many of the Clinton supporters in Indiana were planning on voting for her in November if she were the nominee. On the internet I see plenty of trolls saying they will vote for McCain if Obama is the nominee. Also many angrily accusing Obama of playing the race card - even the New York Times editors said this is a complete reversal of the facts and most people know this. Clinton tried to play the race card several times and failed each and every time so stop spreading lies.
All the Clinton supporters I know will vote for Obama in the fall. At work I never talk politics, especially now since there are many women at my job. But recently I was talking to a group and one of the women said "I can't wait until she drops out!" and another said "I know, I will cheer". It turns out they are all waiting for Clinton to drop out, even the ones who supported her at first (and yes, they are all Democrats, which I already knew). Bottom line: They are Democrats first and Clinton or Obama supporters second. Half the country voted for Clinton but that doesn't mean all or even most of them were die-hards. On the internet you see die-hards and outright GOP trolls writing post after post. (It is encouraging that we have yet to see more than a couple people actually admit to supporting McCain-goes to show just how uninspiring he is.)
Much of the initial coverage about Fort Hood turned out to be wrong. Is there anything wrong with that?
