Hillary enters death-with-dignity phase

If she hasn't already quit, it's hard to envision Clinton continuing her unwinnable -- even with Florida and Michigan -- battle beyond June 4.

Here is the message that Salon's editors deleted from this thread. It was on about page 4 or 5 of the thread. Funny, there was nothing offensive about this post....why was it deleted?

How To Write an Anti-Obama Comment

    (1) Use the term "empty suit" or a variation

    (2) Be sure to mention Kool-Aid. Oh yeah!

    (3) Make reference Obama as a "messiah."

    (4) Call Obama "arrogant" but don't say why.

    (5) Call Obama's supporters sexists; act as though the worst-behaving people represent the majority.

    (6) Use fun terms like: Obamabot, Obamateur, Obamanauts, Obambi, Obamalamadingdong, etc. For good measure, be sure to claim that Obama's supporters are the ones doing all the name-calling.

(7a) Say Obama has "played the race card" while making comments that subtly tap into people's racism.

(7b) Claim that many Americans won't vote for a black man and therefore that's why Obama should not be the candidate.

    (8) Mention Rev. Wright whenever possible. (Be sure to say "How could Obama sit in those pews for 20 years?" or for good measure ask how Obama could expose his girls to such vitriol)

    (9) Blame all of the Clinton's gaffes on Obama. The negative reaction to Bill's "Jesse Jackson also won" comment, or Hillary's "MLK needed LBJ to get it done" comment? Claim Obama somehow telepathically made people find offense.

    (10) Act as though you are Nostradamus and can see the future: "Obama will lose in November," etc. Don't bother to state your reasons -- just make your prediction as if you know it absolutely.

    (11) Brand all of Obama's supporters as hopelessly naive, young, inexperienced, optimistic, starry-eyed, etc. Then cast yourself as an astute, experienced, cynical-but-realistic, wizened, pragmatic one.

    (12) Claim that Obama's campaign tactics have been incredibly corrupt (use the term "Rovian"), while studiously avoiding discussion of Clinton's own campaign tactics.

    (13) Don't forget to throw in "latte liberal" for good measure. References to "arugula" or "elitism" are also good.

    (14) Against all mathematical sensibility, continue to repeat the mantra that Hillary Clinton has won the popular vote.

(14b) Then say "delegates don't matter."

(14c) Then say caucus wins are undemocratic and unrepresentative.

(14d) Then say that Obama and his team of lawyers blocked revotes in Michigan and Florida, the voters are being suppressed or disenfranchised, and generally make it sound like Clinton's on the side of all that is good and patriotic here. (Be sure to avoid mentioning Clinton's early statements that Michigan and Florida shouldn't count.)

    (15) Point out that Obama has spent 2 or 3 times more money than Clinton, but don't mention that this is because he's got more money from more supporters, or that Clinton's campaign has gone into debt several times over.

    (16) Whenever possible, smear Michelle Obama. For good measure, claim that Obama is whipped by her in the exact same way that people used to say Bill was whipped by Hillary (be sure not to note this irony, of course!)

    (17) If opportunity arises, say "Shame on you Barack Obama!"

    (18) Actually, if you're going to say Barack Obama's full name, you might as well say "Barack Hussein Obama"

    (19) If you can squeeze it in, find some way to suggest Obama has Muslim ties, whether it's a passing reference Farrakhan, a mention of his Indonesian school, talking about the Hamas support, or whatever.

    (20) Also don't forget to say "Rezko" even if you can't spell it ("Resco," "Rezko," who cares? It sounds nefarious).

    (21) Claim that the media has fawned over Obama all along.

    (22) For examples of media sexism, point to cable-news people who are usually sexist and racist anyway, as if they represent the majority of media.

    (23) Ignore the negative antics of other Clinton supporters. Don't call them out on it.

    (24) If somebody calls you out on something uncool, just repeat the following: "Whatever Clinton or her supporters might do or say against Obama, it will be 1,000 times worse when he faces the GOP."

(24b) Be sure to also call Obama supporters "whiners" if they object to anything you say.

    (25) Last, but not least, angrily delcare that if Obama is the nominee, you will vote for McCain.

Voila! You've got the perfect pro-Clinton message! Be sure to mix and match various points in different ways so that people don't realize you're just saying the same thing over and over.
