Kathleen Sebelius
I bailed on the stupid quiz when I read the question about hair parting, but this is the answer.
She's smart, has executive experience, is an up-and-comer in the Democratic party and yes - she would be a good step to mending relations with Hillary Clinton's more fanatical supporters.

the survey sucks
You are belittling both the importance of yesterday and today with a survey like this and the questions are ridiculous.
That said, I wanted Webb before I took the survey and he was my top pick after doing the survey.
He's a team player, smart, he neutralizes McCain's military experience and opinions and he's an outspoken Bush critic.

Yes! Hillary as SCOTUS!!
I am an avid Obama supporter, but I would LOVE Hillary on the Supreme Court! She would be awesome. And, she could be there for life.
Why not? WHY NOT???
It they can support their wing nuts, we can support a brilliant woman! Hey, I want Obama for President, but I never said I did not think Hillary would not be better for another job.
As for my VP choices, I love the Gov of Kansas or Gen Wes Clark. (Gov of Kansas might be a great President someday.....)
Damn. Anyone have a position available for a news junkie who loves their country and will work cheap?

This Obama supporter says the obvious first choice for Obama
would be Hillary. No she's not a governor or a military man but she brings something very valuable to the table - nearly 50% of the democratic electorate.
As a practical matter, it just makes sense. She's capable of leading. Their policies are virtually identical. She has name recognition (for better or for worse Obama won't have another 16 months to introduce himself or his running mate to the American population) She's thoroughly vetted. She's national-material (obviously).
All this and he already loyal supporters. That's more than I think any of the opther people on that list have to offer. With all the others we are HOPING they have THIS appeal or THAT appeal but with her we already KNOW.
YES she has problems...who doesn't? YES she'll bring out the repubs in full force. SO WHAT? Hello? We have registered almost 4 million NEW (JUST NEW) voters this primary season. That DOESN'T include the old farts who already were registered and voted or those like me (crossovers and independents solidly in the Dem camp this election season). With his support base nad her support base, I cannot see HOW on earth an Obama/Clinton ticket could lose. Literally I don't see how. (we'd lose the 12% of racist dems who still wouldn't vote for the ticket but its likely they would have voted for McLame anyway even with Hillary at the helm).
It just seem to me that an Obama/Hillary ticket removed ALOT of the speculation. I've said it before, I really don't want to white knuckle it in November. Al least with Hill and Barry we know what's up.
REMEMBER: THEIR POLICIES ARE NEARLY IDENTICAL.
If Obama insists on someone else (or Hillary rejects any offer he might make), I think he must make a choice that will assuage the fears of those blue-collars (not the ones who are racists) who feel they must vote dem because of the economy but who will "feel better" if some slightly older white dude is co-president. I know it sounds f'd up and these folks are not racists but they are unfamiliar with the unfamiliar. Barak is unfamiliar. He needs to have the familiar on the ticket to help coax them to vote their interests instead of the BS side issues the GOP usually lures them with.
Rendell maybe?

How about a Green Party candidate?
Since I don't consider HC part of the Democratic party why not a progressive? If you coalition enough third party groups, you might have something. Al Gore?

Thinking about it...
You know, after considering it and looking at the latest exit polls, although I personally dislike how Clinton has campaigned in this primary (admittedly my problem is partly with her supporters, including those who post on this website), I think the "dream team" might be the best way to go.
I'm not going to go through the demographics, because we all know which people she would bring in that Obama might not be able to get on his own. There are admittedly contra arguments to her candidacy, but as someone noted above when all is said and done I think she would be a net benefit to the ticket.
Outside of the demographics, I think that an Obama/Clinton ticket potentially would be very attractive to a lot of people, including moderates and independents. We have in Barrack someone who is a great American story and who doesn't carry any baggage from the wasteland that is the Bush years, and we have in Clinton someone who is very passionate about moving this country forward and who has frankly endured a lot to get where she is. Although I personally do not care for Clinton, I have to admit that I admire her strength and determination and I think that an Obama/Clinton ticket would *rocket* the Democratic Party to the White House this fall.

Quiz is silly... A: Jim Webb hands down
Jim Webb would be the McCain killer and provide the military experience to help us manage Iraq situation. Being from small town Virginia will help with white racism, military background would as mentioned above neutralize McCain's only advantage. A no-brainer.

COLIN POWELL?!!!
Get serious--I wouldn't vote for him if everyone else was dead! He traded away his honor and integrity 40 years ago helping to cover up the My Lai investigation and his perjured testimony at the UN in support of the Iraq invasion only convinces me that he hasn't changed since then.

sagcat
thanks for the post about oregon's ex-governor. I;d not seen him mentioned anywhere but i wiki'd him after your post.
Looks REAL interesting.
Do you think he's too....how shall i say it...."Oregonian" to appeal to....how should i say it....west virginia's blue collars? What about women, latinos? What do you think? Would this be another "latte-sip fest" accusation waiting to happen? I don;t really know him. He LOOKS folks-y (as you call it).
This is ridiculous.
