Unelectable...
Rasmusson Poll: 58% Say Obama denounced Wright for Political Convenience, not Outrage.
-
@Renegade Iconoclast
And your logic is: money buys everything? Funny how all that money didn't do squat for Obama in Pennsylvania. I actually think people there were offended that they could be bought off with the sheer 24/7 ad campaign onslaught.
Sorry, it's not over. The people in the remaining states have a right to be heard. And the rest of the Democrats in America have the right not to be intimidated and not to have Obama merely stuffed down their throats for the sake of saving the democratic party or for the pretense of racial harmony expediency.
He's a politician no more or less than Clinton. Not the second coming.

Trolls
The trolls are pissed. The plagerism, empty speech,"bittergate",and Rev.Wright media contrived scandels can't stop the Obama machine. This upstart uppity, elitist,Neegro is still gaining superdelegates, still raising money and still going to have more pledge delegates in the end. They are pissed and doing everything they can to derail him but it is not working.
The Clintons are like the devil. Doing everything they can to hold on to power and their minions, imps, demons spawned trolls(Shawn,Cynthera,WES) are gnashing at the teeth, foaming at the mouth because the next President will be Barack Hussein Obama. LOL!
-
The math
Notorious WES is not a troll. He might look like one but that's a different matter. I happen to appreciate his good humor.
I agree that Obama will be seriously damaged by losing both NC and Indiana. But that is an unlikely scenario.
In any case, Clinton would have to sweep all the remaining contests by margins of something like 35% to overtake Obama's lead in pledged delegates. Pledged delegates is how this contest was structured and for the party to say midway into it that they are going to decide based on popular vote totals instead would cause a scandal. If they do that, how big that scandal is will be determined by how viable Obama remains. Thus far, he is not only alive and kicking but he is ahead in both pledged delegates and popular vote and number of states won and number of new voters registered. He will likely win the superdelegate count too when all is said and done.
-
Spineless
I realize the supers are ultra sensitive to their voters and districts, ect., but, the reason they are supers is that they are in leadership positions of some sort.
The major problem with democrats, even republicans, these days is a decided lack of resolve and leadership.
We are a party of spinelessness. Too afraid to upset someone or take a stand, they would rather see the damage that is being done to the party and the supporters and the candidates then, actually show a bit of leadership.
The so called leaders are too busy fussing around and wringing their hands to think why they are supers to begin with.
My advise: Make a damn decision now and get this over with!

Clinton gas tax relief
What is Clinton's 30 dollar taxs relief plan but a bid to buy voters. Clinton has tried to keep superdelgates in line by saying we gave you a job in our administration you owe us. They thought their Mafia style administration would scare SDs into staying with them but Reich,Richardson, and now the SD from Indiana is to hell with the Clinton thuggish politics.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for a much needed laugh.

Baloo
I agree that Obama will be seriously damaged by losing both NC and Indiana. But that is an unlikely scenario.
And what if he loses IN and wins NC by a single-digit margin?
-
Republican Trolls?
It seems like only the Clinton supporters get accused of being trolls. Why is that?

Let's add some other salient points of that poll:
"Wright held a mini-media tour last weekend capped by a press conference at the National Press Club on Monday. Only 33% of voters believe that Obama was surprised by the views Wright expressed at Monday’s press conference. Fifty-two percent (52%) say he was not surprised.
Fifty-six percent (56%) say it’s at least somewhat likely that Obama “shares some of Pastor Wright’s controversial views about the United States.” That figure includes 26% who say it’s Very Likely Obama holds such views. At the other end of the spectrum 24% say it’s Not Very Likely that Obama shares such views. Just 11% say it’s Not at All Likely.
Just 7% of the nation’s voters agree with Wright’s views of the United States. African-American voters, by a 64% to 12% margin, disagree with Wright. Eighty-one percent (81%) of all voters are following the story somewhat or very closely.
Nine percent (9%) of voters have a favorable opinion of Wright. Eight-one percent (81%) have an unfavorable view. That includes 62% with a Very Unfavorable opinion."
So much for the "Americans are bored with the Wright story" meme that Obama and his supporters would have everyone believe. I think the figures speak for themselves.

Is it tuesday yet...?
Salon Letters pages are getting hard to read.
Just so much bile all around.
Hey everybody. Senator Clinton isn't the Antichrist. Obama isn't an empty suit. They are both capable intelegent hard working politicians, which is why were in this mess in the first place.
The staggard primary system is great if you have one emergent candidate with name, money, and charisma behind them. This year we have two. Oh well.
Tuesday we've got another set of primaries and and chance that likely won't come for one of these two to have a stong statement.
The sad glimmer of hope in all this? April death's in Iraq are high, the surge is breaking down, McCain will lose in November if the Democrats ran Joe Lieberman, well maybe not Lieberman, but you get the idea.
This constant fighting is exhausting us, and will lead to the shortest presidential campaign season in history (about what 3 months?) You all realize that both Obama and Clinton will have spent far more time fighting each other this year than they can even hope to spend fighting McCain. Do you think we can do 22 debates in 3 months? Maybe we should start having three way debates just to save time?
Yep, If it wasn't for this insanely unpopular war...who knows McCain might of had a chance.
Hurrah for us.
